Dive in 📖 In Perps, you’re trading on price direction – not owning the asset. 📈 Going LONG means you expect the price to rise. 📉Going SHORT means you expect it to fall. $BTC at $110K → LONG if you think it’ll hit $115K $ETH at $3.5K → SHORT if you think it’ll drop to $3.3K ⚙️ LEVERAGE lets you open a bigger trade than your balance allows by borrowing from the exchange. $200 with 10x = $2,000 position ☝️ Your potential profits and losses both scale. But risk isn’t just about leverage – it also depends on how much of your balance is in the trade. 💰 MARGIN is your collateral – the deposit that backs your trade. If you deposit $300 and use 5x leverage, you’re opening a $1,500 position. That $300 is at risk if the market moves hard against you. It’s the max you can lose. 💀 LIQUIDATION happens when your margin can’t cover your losses – the exchange closes your position automatically.
