⛔️⛔️⛔️Reading Practice ⛔️⛔️⛔️ 𝘼 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙠𝙚𝙮 🐴 One beautiful spring morning, a merchant loaded his donkey with bags of salt to go to the market, in order to sell the salt. The merchant and his donkey were walking along together. They had not walked far when they reached a river on the way. Unfortunately, the donkey slipped and fell into the river. As it scrambled up the bank of the river, it noticed that the bags of salt loaded on his back had become lighter. There was nothing the merchant could do except return home, where he loaded his donkey with more bags of salt. As they reached the slippery riverbank again, the donkey fell into the river, this time deliberately. Thus the salt was wasted again. By now the merchant knew the donkey's trick. He wanted to teach the animal a lesson. As he returned home the second time with the donkey, the merchant loaded bags of sponges on its back. The duo set out on their trip to the market a third time. On reaching the river, the donkey very cleverly fell into the water again. But now, instead of the load becoming lighter, it became heavier. The merchant laughed at the donkey and said, "You foolish donkey, your trick has been discovered. You should know that  𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑜𝑙 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑜𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑠." #shortstory Happy Learning☺️❤️ @ingliztiliuzz

When I was in class 7, I used to ask a lot of questions. .....! One day, I asked my English Teacher, "Why do we ignore some letters in pronunciation eg. the letter H.......in Hour, Honour. .....etc. ......?????? My English Teacher said, " We are not ignoring them; they're considered silent (I was even more confused .....?????) During the lunch break, my Teacher gave me her packed lunch and asked me to heat it in the Cafeteria. I ate all the food and returned her the empty container.....!!!!!!! My English Teacher: What happened? I told you to go and HEAT my food, you are returning me an empty container. I replied, "Madam, I thought 'H' was silent.

#english_usage ✍Americans generally use lunch for the midday meal and dinner or supper for the evening meal. Celebration meals at Christmas and Thanksgiving are called Christmas/Thanksgiving dinner, even if they are eaten at midday. @ingliztiliuzz

⭕️Interesting Facts About English Grammar⭕️ 🔹“I am” is the shortest complete sentence in the English language. It does not have both a subject and a predicate, but it is a sentence because it expresses a complete thought, and it is grammatically correct. 🔹A pangram sentence is one that contains every letter in the language. For example, the sentence “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” is a pangram. 🔹There are “ghost words” that mean nothing. The dictionary because of printing errors. The nonexistent word “dord” appeared in the dictionary for eight years in the mid-20th century. It became known as a “ghost word.” 🔹The shortest, oldest, and most commonly used word is “I.” Medieval manuscripts reveal that some of the oldest words in English are “I,” “we,” “two,” and “three.” This makes “I” one of the shortest and oldest words in the English language. It is also the most commonly used word in English conversations. 🔹A new word is added to the dictionary every two hours. Between now and your next meal, a new word will be put into the dictionary. During the course of the year, almost 4,000 new words are added! So, the next time you try to catch the attention of the dissertation committee, try adding some new words to your project. 🔹There’s a name for words that we repeat often. Words we always use even though they add no meaning or value to a sentence are called crutch words. For example, in the sentence “Then I was like, OMG, then like, he went there, and like…” it is pretty obvious that “like” is the crutch word. “Actually,” “honestly,” and “basically” are also commonly used as crutch words. @ingliztiliuzz
