A social media user has sparked conversations online after highlighting how shop owners used to boldly include their shop addresses on banners, a move that made it easier for travelers and strangers to find help when needed. Another user added that this helpful culture is gradually fading, as many signposts today no longer clearly indicate locations, leaving people confused. What do you think — progress or a lost habit? 🤔 #Instablog9jaVibes #NaijaTwitter #EverydayNigeria #StreetSense #SmallBusinesses

First son, Seyi Tinubu, Installed as Okanlòmo of Eyọ Ọba in Lagos Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and his wife, Layal, have been conferred with new chieftaincy titles in Lagos. Seyi was installed as the Okanlòmo of Eyọ Ọba Alakẹtẹ Pupa, Laba Ẹkun, a traditional title said to reflect service, character and commitment to the people and cultural heritage of Lagos.  Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, described the honour as recognition of dedication to the state’s traditions and values. The installation ceremony took place ahead of the Eyo festival, one of Lagos’ most iconic cultural celebrations and a key symbol of the city’s history and identity.  The event underscores the continued importance of traditional institutions in preserving and promoting Lagos culture.

He alleged that the explosions end@ngered innocent lives, stressing that there was “no bandit in the vicinity where the b@mb landed.” Dokubo challenged authorities to present evidence showing that even a single t+rrorist was k+lled in the operation. “If you have any other proof of where the b@mb landed and k+lled one bandit, just one t+rrorist, I challenge you to come here and show us,” he said. Dokubo also dismissed suggestions of foreign military dominance in Nigeria’s security operations, stating that the United States could not deploy troops independently into Nigeria. He argued that any foreign involvement would only be through collaboration with Nigerian forces. “America cannot send troops into a sovereign nation like Nigeria; they can only collaborate with Nigerian troops,” he added.

The U.S. Airstr+kes in Sokoto had no impact; it didn’t k+ll any t+rorrist or d+stroy their camps— Asari Dokubo alleges. Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has criticised reports of recent Airstr+kes in parts of Sokoto State, describing the operation as ineffective and d@ngerous to civilians. Reacting to reports aired on Arise Television, Dokubo said the strikes did not target bandits or t+rrorists, but instead landed in open fields and near villages, creating craters without recording any casualty among criminal elements. “It’s so sh@meful and laughable,” Dokubo said, insisting that no bandit was k+lled and no militant camp was d+stroyed. According to him, residents in Sokoto openly claimed the devices used were drones, but argued that they failed to neutralise any security thr+at.

The actress insisted the money was not a transaction or inducement she would accept, stressing that she deliberately collected it to prove her allegations were true.  She denied bl@ckmailing the pastor and said the issue was not about money. “I collected this money to tell you guys that everything I’ve said is the truth,” she stated. Ogala further alleged that the cash was delivered in a Zenith Bank envelope and provided what she described as call logs and timestamps to support her claims, noting the video was recorded on December 23 at about 5:39 p.m. She also denied allegations of dr¥g use, saying she only sm@kes cigarettes, and challenged the police to explain claims about items allegedly found in her residence. The video has since triggered widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for clarification and proper investigation into the allegations involving the cleric.

Doris Ogala Alleges Pastor Chris Okafor Offered $10,000 to Make Her Claim Other Pastors Sponsored Her. Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has alleged that popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor attempted to induce her with $10,000 to publicly claim that some pastors sponsored her to att+ck him and later retract her earlier statements. In a video shared online, Ogala displayed bundles of cash which she said amounted to $10,000, explaining that the money was given to her in two instalments, $5,000 the previous night and another $5,000 shortly before she recorded the video. She claimed the cleric pleaded with her and wanted her to shift the blame to other pastors. “This is $10,000. He wanted me to come and say that all the pastors, or a few pastors, sent me to fight him,” Ogala said. “You want me to take a fall and make a ‘ye ye’ of myself after all I have said?”
