✞And they added to St. John the Short, “So that it would be a sign, wait for us at night without lighting candles” and they sent him on his way after blessing him. St. John Colobus then returned and delivered the message. And on the day of the consecration of their church, while Sts. Theophilus, Cyril, John the Short and others together with the faithful were there in the dark, the church suddenly lit up. ✞And a great light surrounded them. And when the Three Youth passed through the illumination, a lovely fragrance was extant. And the people celebrated with joy and chants the day of the consecration of the Saints’ Church. ✞✞✞ Abba Hor the Ascetic✞✞✞ =>There are many saints called by this name, Hor, from the righteous and the martyrs. And Abba Hor [whom we commemorate today] is one of the saints that are prime from the side of the righteous. Abba Hor was a Christian who lived in the Era of the Saints and was famed for his kindness. ✞When he completed his good deeds in the world, preserved in virginity, he entered into a monastery. There, he spent years occupied in service. Thereafter, he became a monk. And after he was tonsured, he started serving the fathers, began fasting and praying, and was engaged in austerity. He became a strong pillar that did not waver left or right (as the fathers say “An upright pillar that does not falter”). ✞Satan tried Abba Hor in many ways. And when it became difficult to fight with the Saint, he appeared to him vividly. Then he challenged him with, “You defeat me because you are here in the midst of the elders. However, if I found you in the desert alone I could make you fall.” ✞Afterwards, Abba Hor chanting the Psalms of David went into the deeper part of the desert. There, Satan fought against him. Nonetheless, he was not able to defeat him. And the reason was because the Almighty God was with the Saint. Satan when he knew he was defeated, he again came up with another excuse. ✞He appeared vividly and spoke to him again. He said to the Saint, “It is not astounding that you defeat me here where there is no one! But if you go to the city, you won’t be victorious over me.” St. Hor, faithful in the Power of his Creator to humiliate Satan, went to the world/city. ✞And he used to pray saying, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” Ps. 26 (27):1 During his stay in the city, appearing as a nobody he used to help the helpless, care for the destitute, fetch water for the poor, chop fire wood and during the night prayed standing like a pillar. ✞When Satan realized that he could not defeat him in this manner; he tried to make him quarrel with people by using lies. Hence, when he saw a child that had died after a horse trampled him, Satan appeared to the people in the likeness of a man and pointing towards the Saint said to the people, “He is the one that stepped on the child and killed him.” And when the child’s kins tried to hold Abba Hor, he said, “Wait a moment” and raised the child from the ground and held him. ✞And when he made the Sign of the Cross atop of the child and breathed upon him, the child rose from the dead. Then, he gave him to his parents. And the people of Alexandria that saw this miracle came to him to be blessed but he disappeared from them and entered the desert as he used to despise vainglory. ✞The Righteous Abba Hor after he spent the rest of his life in the desert departed on this day. ✞✞✞May the God of the Righteous and the Saints conceal us from a burning fire and the wickedness of the Devil. Memhir Esuendale: #Feasts of #Tahisas_2 ✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the Three Holy Youth and Abba Hor the Ascetic✞✞✞ ✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞ ✞✞✞ The Three Holy Youth ✞✞✞ =>We call Hananiah, Azariah and Mishael with their previously coined group name as the Three Holy Youth though they are our fathers in age, grace and virtue. ✞They were the sons of the King of Judah, Jehoiakim and were taken captive when Nebuchadnezzar burned Jerusalem down and took its people to Babylon in bondage. ✞And when the King choose youths from those that were exiled, the Three Holy Children and Daniel were selected for a life of luxury in the palace. However, because they did not want to unite in dining and worship with the gentiles, they chose to fast and pray while consuming pulses. And though they were living in a palace and were the children of nobility, none of that was better than God’s love so they lived limiting themselves to eating beans only. ✞As their God was omnipotent there was none found in the land of Babylon that leveled up to their great appearance or wisdom. And the King appointed them in Babylon and its provinces. And he named them after his gods as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. ✞And after some time, because the gentiles became envious of them, they had a wicked decree declared. And as Nebuchadnezzar had erected a 60 cubits tall golden image of himself, an idol, and had said to them, “Bow down”, they responded by saying no to him and were sentenced to die by being burned with fire. And though the fire blazed to a height of 49 cubits, fear did not strike them for a moment. ✞And when they threw them into the fire, the Delivering Angel, St. Gabriel, reached and saved them. And the gentiles were afraid from what had come to be. Nevertheless, Nebuchadnezzar stood from his throne and praised the God of the Saints. ✞After that day, Hananiah, Azariah and Mishael lived in one place, a cell, in prayer and fasting. And there was a great earthquake when their souls departed. And when St. Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar reached their abode hastily, they found the three of them together, departed. And because the King loved them so much he buried them in caskets that were overlaid with gold. And because he said to bury him with them when he died, the graves of the four are still visible in Babylon to those fathers that have reached perfection. ✞The Saints Hananiah, Azariah and Mishael (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) passed away on Ginbot 10 (May 18) and it was 500 years before the birth of Christ. This day on the other hand is the day on which the Angel of God delivered the Three Youths when Nebuchadnezzar threw them into fire. ✞✞✞ And on the day their God delivered them from fire; They praised God saying, “Blessed art thou, O Lord, God of our fathers, and worthy of praise; and thy name is glorified for ever” after He revealed it to them while they were in the midst of the fire. ✞Their prayer has 2 parts. The one with the 6 verses showed that Christ would be born after 600 years from their time. And the other praise that has 33 verses indicated that our Savior, Jesus Christ, was going to walk on earth for 33 years. ✞900 years after the departure of the Three Holy Youth (around 400 years after the birth of Christ), the Great St. Theophilo(u)s wished to get their relics as he had built a church in their name. ✞Hence, he called his acquaintance Abba John the Short (Colobus) and said, “Father! Go to Babylon and bring me the relics of the Saints”. And the Saint, John the Short, went to Babylon upon a cloud. And he prostrated before the graves of the Saints and wept. And the Three Youth asked, “What happened our beloved?” ✞To which the Saint answered, “Let’s go to Egypt. Abba Theophilus wants you.” Nevertheless, they replied, “Tell to St. Theophilus this, ‘May God reward your labors. However, until the end of the world our relics will not leave Babylon. But we will come for your honor.’”

✞✞✞ በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ ፡፡ አሜን ፡፡ ✞✞✞ ✞✞✞ እንኩዋን ለቅዱሳን "ሠለስቱ ደቂቅ" እና "አባ ሖር ገዳማዊ" ዓመታዊ የዕረፍት በዓል በሰላም አደረሳችሁ ✞✞✞ " ታኅሣሥ 2 " +*" ቅዱሳን ሠለስቱ ደቂቅ "*+ =>አናንያ: አዛርያና ሚሳኤልን እንዲያው በቀድሞው አጠራር ሠለስቱ ደቂቅ (ሦስቱ ሕጻናት) እንላቸዋለን እንጂ ለእኛስ በእድሜም: በጸጋም: በትሩፋትም አባቶቻችን ናቸው:: +ቅዱሳኑ የወቅቱ የይሁዳ ንጉሥ የኢዮአቄም ልጆች ናቸው:: ናቡከደነጾር ኢየሩሳሌምን አቃጥሎ ሕዝቡን ሲማርክ አብረው ተማርከው ባቢሎን ወርደዋል:: +ንጉሡ ከምርኮ ወጣቶች ለቤተ መንግስት ሲመርጥ ሦስቱ ቅዱሳንና ዳንኤል ተመርጠው የምቾት ሕይወት ተዘጋጅቶላቸው ነበር:: ነገር ግን በምግብና በአምልኮ ከአሕዛብ ጋር መተባበርን አልፈለጉምና ምርጫቸው ጾምና ጸሎት ከቆሎ ጋር ሆነ:: ምንም እንኩዋ በቤተ መንግስት ውስጥ ቢኖሩ: ምንም የነገሥታት ልጆች ቢሆኑ ለእነርሱ ከእግዚአብሔር ፍቅር የተሻለ አልነበረምና በጥሬ ቆሎ ተወስነው ኖሩ:: +አምላካቸው ከሃሊ ነውና በውበትም ሆነ በጥበብ በባቢሎን ምድር ከነርሱ የሚደርስ አልተገኘም:: ንጉሡም በባቢሎንና በአውራጃዋ ላይ ሾማቸው:: ስማቸውንም በአማልክቱ ስም ሲድራቅ: ሚሳቅና አብደናጐ አላቸው:: +ከነገር ሁሉ በሁዋላ አሕዛብ ቀንተውባቸዋልና የክፋት አዋጅን አሳወጁ:: ናቡከደነጾር 60 ክንድ ቁመት ያለውን የወርቅ ምስል አቁሞ ስገዱ ቢላቸው አይሆንም በማለታቸው ተቃጥለው እንዲሞቱ እሳት ተፈረደባቸው:: ነበልባሉ ከጉድጉዋዱ ወደ ላይ 49 ክንድ ቢነድም ቅንጣት ያህል ፍርሃት አልጎበኛቸውም:: +ወደ እሳቱም ሲጥሏቸው መልዐከ አድኅኖ ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ደርሶ አዳናቸው:: ከሆነው ነገር የተነሳም አሕዛብ አፈሩ:: ናቡከደነጾር ግን ከዙፋኑ ተነስቶ የቅዱሳኑን አምላክ እግዚአብሔርን ባረከ:: +ከዚያች ቀን በሁዋላ አናንያ: አዛርያና ሚሳኤል በአት አጽንተው: በጾምና በጸሎት ተወስነው ኑረዋል:: ነፍሳቸው ከሥጋቸው ስትለይ ታላቅ ንውጽውጽታ ሆኗል:: ቅዱስ ዳንኤልና ናቡከደነጾር ተሯሩጠው ቢሄዱ ሦስቱም በአንድነት ዐርፈው ተገኝተዋል:: ንጉሡ በእጅጉ ይወዳቸው ነበርና በወርቅ በተለበጠ ሳጥን ቀብሯቸዋል:: ስሞት ከመካከላቸው ቅበሩኝ በማለቱ ዛሬ ድረስ ለበቁ አባቶች የአራቱ መቃብር ባቢሎን ውስጥ ይታያል:: +ቅዱሳን አናንያ: አዛርያና ሚሳኤል (ሲድራቅ: ሚሳቅና አብደናጐ) ያረፉት ግንቦት 10 ቀን ሲሆን ዘመኑም ከክርስቶስ 500 ዓመት በፊት ነው:: ይህቺ ዕለት ደግሞ ናቡከደነጾር ወደ እሳት ሲጥላቸው መልአከ እግዚአብሔር እነርሱን ያዳነበት ቀን ናት:: +አምላካቸው ከአሳት ባወጣቸው በዚህ ቀንም:- "ይትባረክ እግዚአብሔር አምላከ አበዊነ:: ስቡሕኒ ውዕቱ ወልዑልኒ ውዕቱ ለዓለም::" የሚለውን ምስጋና ፈጣሪ ገልጾላቸው ደርሰውታል:: በእሳቱ ውስጥ ሆነው ተናግረውታል:: +ድርሰታቸው 2 ወገን ሲሆን ባለ ስድስት አንቀጹ ምስጋናቸው ከ600 ዓመት በሁዋላ ክርስቶስ እንደሚወለድ የሚያሳይ ነው:: ሌላኛውና 33 አንቀጾች ያሉት ምስጋናቸው ደግሞ መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ በዚህ ዓለም ለ33 ዓመታት እንደሚመላለስ ያጠይቃል:: +ቅዱሳን ሠለስቱ ደቂቅ ካረፉ ከ900 ዓመታት በሁዋላ (ማለትም ከክርስቶስ ልደት በ400 ዓመታት) ታላቁ ቅዱስ ቴዎፍሎስ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን አንጾላቸው ነበርና አጽማቸውን ሊያገኝ ተመኘ:: +ወዳጁን ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ ሐጺርን ጠርቶ "አባ! አጽመ ቅዱሳንን ባቢሎን ወርደህ አምጣልኝ?" አለው:: ቅዱሱ ሐጺር ዮሐንስም በደመና ተጭኖ ባቢሎን ገባ:: በቅዱሳኑ መቃብር ፊትም ሰግዶ አለቀሰ:: ሠለስቱ ደቂቅም "ወዳጃችን! ምን ሆንክ?" አሉት:: +ቅዱሱም መልሶ "ወደ ግብጽ እንሒድ:: አባ ቴዎፍሎስ ይፈልጋቹሃል" አላቸው:: እነሱም "ለቅዱሱ ቴዎፍሎስ እንዲህ በለው:: እግዚአብሔር ዋጋህን ይክፈልህ:: ግን አጽማችን እስከ ዓለም ፍጻሜ ባቢሎንን አይለቅም:: ለክብርህ ግን እንመጣለን::" +"ለምልክትም ይሆን ዘንድ መብራት ሳታበራ በሌሊት ጠብቀን በለው" ብለው ቅዱስ ዮሐንስ ሐጺርን ባርከው ሸኙት:: ሐጺርም መጥቶ መልአክቱን አደረሰ:: በዕለተ ቅዳሴ ቤታቸው ቅዱሳን:- ቴዎፍሎስ: ቄርሎስ: ሐጺር ዮሐንስና ሌሎችም ከምዕመናን ጋር በጨለማ ሳሉ ቤተ ክርስቲያኑ ቦግ ብሎ በራ:: +እጅግ የሚደነቅ ብርሃንም ከበባቸው:: በብርሃኑ መካከል ሠለስቱ ደቂቅ ሲያልፉ በጐ መዓዛ ሸተተ:: ሕዝቡም በደስታና በዝማሬ የቅዱሳኑን ቅዳሴ ቤት አክብሯል:: +"+ አባ ሖር ገዳማዊ +"+ =>በዚህ ስም የሚጠሩ ብዙ ቅዱሳን ከጻድቃንም: ከሰማዕታትም አሉ:: ከጻድቃኑ መካክል: በተለይም ከታላላቆቹ አንዱ ቅዱስ አባ ሖር ነው:: አባ ሖር በዘመነ ጻድቃን የነበረና በደግነቱ የሚታወቅ ክርስቲያን ነው:: +በዓለም ያለውን በጐነት ሲፈጽም ድንግልናውን እንደ ጠበቀ ገዳም ገባ:: በዚያም በአገልግሎት ተጠምዶ ዘመናትን አሳለፈ:: ከዚያም መነኮሰ:: ከመነኮሰ በሁዋላ ደግሞ አበውን በማገልገል: በጾምና በጸሎት: በበጐው ትሕርምት ሁሉ የተጠመደ ሆነ:: ግራ ቀኝ የማይል ("ጽኑዕ ከመ ዓምድ ዘኢያንቀለቅል" እንዲሉ አበው) ብርቱ ምሰሶ ሆነ:: +ሰይጣንም አባ ሖርን በብዙ ጐዳና ፈተነው:: ከእርሱ ጋር መታገል ከአቅሙ በላይ ሲሆንበት በገሃድ ተገለጠለት:: "አንተኮ የምታሸንፈኝ በአበው መካከል ስለ ሆንክ ነው:: በበርሃ ብቻህን ባገኝህ ግን እጥልሃለሁ" ሲል ተፈካከረው:: +አባ ሖርም የዳዊትን መዝሙር እየዘመረ ጭው ወዳለ በርሃ ገባ:: በዚያም ሰይጣን ታገለው:: ግን ሊያሸንፈው አልቻለም:: ምክንያቱም ኃያሉ እግዚአብሔር ከጻድቁ ጋር ነበርና:: ሰይጣን እንደ ተሸነፈ ሲያውቅ እንደ ገና ሌላ ምክንያት ፈጠረ:: +አሁንም በገሃድ ተገልጦ ተናገረው:: "በዚህ በበርሃ ማንም በሌለበት ብታሸንፈኝ ምኑ ይደንቃል! ወደ ከተማ ብትሔድ ግን አትችለኝም" አለው:: ቅዱስ ሖር ግን አሁንም ሰይጣንን ያሳፍር ዘንድ በፈጣሪው ኃይል ተመክቶ ወደ ዓለም ወጣ:: +"እግዚአብሔር ያበርሕ ሊተ ወያድኅነኒ: ምንትኑ ያፈርሃኒ - እግዚአብሔር ብርሃኔና መድኃኒቴ ነው:: የሚያስፈራኝ ማነው!" ሲል (መዝ. 26:1) ይጸልይ ነበር:: በከተማም በነበረው ቆይታ አልባሌ ሰው መስሎ ደካሞችን ሲረዳ: ነዳያንን ሲንከባከብ: ለድሆች ውሃ ሲቀዳ: እንጨት ሲሰብር ይውልና ሌሊት እንደ ምሰሶ ተተክሎ ሲጸልይ ያድራል:: +ሰይጣን በዚህም እንዳላሸነፈው ሲያውቅ ከሰዎች ጋር በሐሰት ሊያጣላው ሞከረ:: ፈረስ ረግጦ የገደለውን አንድ ሕጻን ሲያይ ሰይጣን ሰው መስሎ ወደ አባ ሖር እየጠቆመ "እርሱ ነው ረግጦ የገደለው" አላቸው:: የሕጻኑ ወገኖች ቅዱሱን ሲይዙት አባ ሖር "ቆዩኝማ" ብሎ የሞተውን ሕጻን አንስቶ ታቀፈው:: +ጸልዮ በመስቀል ምልክት አማተበበትና "እፍ" ቢልበት ሕጻኑ ከሞት ተነሳ:: ለወላጆቹም ሰጣቸው:: ይሕንን ድንቅ የተመለከቱ የእስክንድርያ ሰዎችም ይባርካቸው ዘንድ ሲጠጉት ተሰውሯቸው በርሃ ገባ:: ውዳሴ ከንቱን ፈጽሞ ይጠላት ነበርና:: +ጻድቁ አባ ሖር ቀሪ ዘመኑን በበርሃ አሳልፎ በዚህች ቀን በክብር ዐርፏል:: =>አምላከ ጻድቃን ቅዱሳን ከነደደ እሳት: ከዲያብሎስ ክፋትም ይሰውረን:: ከበረከታቸውም ይክፈለን::

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”✞✞✞ Mal. 4:4-6 ✞✞✞ Salutations to God ✞✞✞

Then, he prayed 7 times diligently and opened the sky that he had sealed for 3 years and 6 months. ✞But before that, he was victorious over 850 false prophets and priests of idols of Jezebel. And because fire came down from heaven and consumed only his sacrifice, the people killed the 850 false prophets on the bank of a river. ✞And Jezebel who heard this, persecuted to kill him. Hence, when he prayed, “O Lord, take away my life for I am left alone; for I am not better than my fathers” (Adapted from 1Kgs. 19:4) God announced to him that he had preserved seven thousand people that have not prostrated for idols and that He would also take him to the Realm of the Living.     ✞Then an angel (Michael) woke him up and appeared before him as he was sleeping because he was tired (from his flight). And he brought bread in a vessel with a cruse of water and said, “Eat! Drink!” And he ate and drank and slept. And again he woke him up and made him eat. Then. on the 3rd time, he said to him, “Eat until you are full as the journey is too great.” (Adapted from 1Kgs. 19:7) ✞And Elijah went for 40 days without food. Thereafter, he did not eat from earthly meal. And after God took vengeance upon Ahab and Jezebel, St. Elijah brought down fire 2 times upon wicked people. ✞And when the time for his ascent was at hand, he said to his disciple Elisha “Ask what I shall do for thee”, to which Elisha replied “a double portion of your spirit”. (2Kgs. 2:9) And [on the road] he (Elijah) tried to send him back 3 times but St. Elisha followed him diligently. After they parted Jordan and crossed, St. Elijah was taken up by a chariot of fire. (2Kgs. 2:11) And he dropped for Elisha half of his mantle. ✞Today, St. Elijah is in the Realm of the Living, will come back at the time of the Antichrist and will depart as a martyr with Enoch. After he was raised according to the rites of the Church Emperor Theodosius II (the Younger) of Constantinople took him to his palace. ✞There, when the Emperor asked him, “Let me make you a governor”, he replied with, “Give me some time”. Then, he fled to the desert, and became a monk. And while St. Peter fought his battles as a monk, people came to the desert, took him forcefully and made him the Bishop of Gaza (now a bordering place between Palestine and Israel). ✞And due to his holiness, he used to see the Eucharist changed during the Divine Liturgy. And angels used to accompany him. A holy angel, at one time, rebuked him because he was quiet, while the faithful transgressed, out of meekness. ✞And when Persian Kings burned the relics of martyrs, he fled with the relics of St. James the Mangled. And after living in holiness for many years, he departed on this day. ✞✞✞Saint Bath–sheba✞✞✞ =>This mother was earlier the wife of Uriah and later was the spouse of St. David, a man after God’s own heart, and the mother of Solomon. She is counted with the holy mothers and was a forbearer of the Virgin Mary. Some scholars call her as “Betsaba – Bet’Sheba” and make her lineage from Ethiopia.   ✞✞✞ May the God of Elijah trough the Saint’s intercession send forth his mercy to our country and its people. Memhir Esuendale: #Feasts of #Tahisas_1 ✞✞✞On this day we commemorate the Great Prophet – Saint Elijah, Saint Peter of Gaza (El-rahawy/the Iberian) and Saint Bath–sheba✞✞✞ ✞✞✞In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen!✞✞✞ ✞✞✞The Great Saint Elijah✞✞✞ =>The Holy Church after the Arch-prophet Moses honors St. Elijah. She calls him as “Chief of the Prophets”. That is because he is a father that sealed the sky, brought down fire and ordered nature with his word. And if asked, “How did that come to pass?” It was as follows. ✞His lineage is from the tribes of Israel (the 10 tribes) that Jeroboam took. His father was called Iyasniu and his mother Tona (Tonah). Since they worshipped God properly, He blessed the womb of Tonah and created a holy fruit.  ✞On the day that St. Elijah was born, light was seen filling their house. And because his parents saw 4 men (angels) clothed in light appear before them and cover him in a garb of fire, scared they told the prophets and priests. ✞And the priests astounded by what came to be, said, “What kind of creature is he? Would he reign over Israel?! Or is he a prophet?” St. Elijah from his childhood was an Israelite who was austere, serious and that loved purity. ✞The time (900 years before the birth of Christ) was when the people and the kings were unkind, and was a period when God was denied while idols were worshipped. The idols (Dagon and Bel) which were in the possessions of Philistines during that time had entered/infiltrated Israel. ✞St. Elijah in the midst of this wicked generation kept the rites of the Old Testament and was a man of purity and worship. ✞And in those days God called him to prophesize. And he said, “Yes” to the call in obedience to God and accepted it. The Saint made his dwelling mountains and the wild, and he did not like to spend time or stay with people unless it was for a task. ✞Particularly Mt. Carmel was his home. And for this - his life, after Melchizedek, he is considered as a person who laid the foundations for 1. Celibacy (As he was a virgin) 2. The Hermitic Life (As he was a solitary) and 3. Monasticism (As he was an ascetic) in the Old Testament. ✞It is known that there was none who was as brave and a rebuking teacher as St. Elijah in the Old Testament, John the Baptist during the time of Christ and John Chrysostom in the Era of the Scholars. During St. Elijah’s time, Ahab and Jezebel, wicked husband and wife reigned over Israel and had the people worship idols. ✞On top of that, they shed the blood of Naboth the Jezreelite with false witness for his vineyard. Naboth is considered as a martyr for [being slain] saying, “I will not sell or exchange the inheritance of my fathers” (Adapted from 1Kgs. 20:4). ✞But when Elijah heard this, he went before Ahab and Jezebel and said, “Naboth’s blood will be upon you both. And [Jezebel] your blood dogs will lick”. And for this, Jezebel searched to kill him and she was not able to as he was God’s. ✞And it seems that in anger of this, she ordered prophets to be gathered and be slain. Though the 900 were slaughtered, the rest 100 were hidden and fed by Obadiah in a cave and were saved by him. However, wickedness and sin became rampant in Israel. The people while eating from God’s gift bowed down to Bel (Baal). ✞At that time St. Elijah said this, “As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word” (1Kgs. 17:1) and stopped the rain from falling. And the sky did not give rain drops for the seeds nor precipitation for autumn for 3 years and 6 months. ✞And the people suffered for their transgressions. Nevertheless, the Prophet was fed by ravens and drunk from a spring which sprang for him. And when these were taken away, he prayed. And God ordered him to go to Zarephath from the brook of Chorath. There, when the mother of the Prophet Jonah fed him after baking a little bread, her house filled with blessing.✞And when her child, Jonah, died, he raised him.
