AXLA Manufacturing PLC is looking for a Finance team leader. The following are requirements. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES A. Financial Planning & Budgeting Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning for manufacturing operations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and shareholders. Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget), identifying root causes and improvement measures. B. Financial Operations & Controls Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll reviews, and procurement alignment. Implement strong internal controls, cost-control systems, and financial policies specific to manufacturing workflows. Monitor production costs, overheads, BOM (Bill of Materials), and cost of goods sold (COGS). C. Manufacturing Finance Lead standard costing, cost modeling, and efficiency analysis for production lines. Develop systems for factory expense tracking, machine utilization cost analysis, and wastage reporting. Work closely with plant managers to review raw material consumption, yield, OEE, and production KPIs. D. Tax Management & Compliance (Ethiopia) Ensure full compliance with ERCA / MoR tax laws, including: VAT filings Withholding & payroll taxes Excise tax (if applicable) Corporate income tax Manage tax assessments, audits, appeals, and liaise with Ethiopian tax authorities. Advise management on tax-efficient business structures and incentives (e.g., investment incentives, customs exemptions). E. Investment & Financial Analysis Conduct financial feasibility studies for expansion, new manufacturing lines, and capital projects. Prepare investment models, IRR/NPV analysis, and ROI calculations. Support fundraising activities (banks, private investors, development finance institutions). Manage relationships with commercial banks and oversee loan repayments, LCs, and credit lines. F. Cash Flow & Treasury Management Monitor cash flow projections and working capital requirements. Optimize liquidity, foreign exchange management, and bank partnerships. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Educational Requirements Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. ACCA, CPA, IFRS certification strongly preferred. Professional Experience > years experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior finance role. Candidates must have: Strong experience in Manufacturing/Industrial companies. Demonstrated experience in investment analysis, feasibility studies, and financial modeling.
