🇺🇸❌🇬🇱🇩🇰 — President Trump once again demands that the U.S. "needs" Greenland for "national security":
We need Greenland for national protection. They have a very small population. They say Denmark, but Denmark has spent no money. They have no military protection. They say that Denmark was there 300 years ago or something with a boat. Well, we were there with boats too, I'm sure. So we'll have to work it all out. We need Greenland for national security. Not for minerals. We have to have it.

🇺🇸❌🇨🇴 — President Trump on Colombian President Gustavo Petro:
He’s got drug factories. They make cocaine in Colombia. He's a very bad guy. He’s got to watch his ass because he makes cocaine and they send it into the United States. The leader is a troublemaker, and he better watch it. He better close up those cocaine factories. They have at least three major cocaine factories. We know where they are. He better close them up fast.

🇺🇸⚡️ — President Trump on shipbuilding:
In World War II, the United States built upwards of four ships per day. Can you believe it, four ships a day? On average. It’s a tragedy that we allowed incredible capability to go astray.

I’m inside Mar-a-Lago for the President's planned announcement on shipbuilding.
There are three posters on easels in a room called "The Library.”
Each poster is a photo of the new “Trump Class” battleship called the “USS Defiant.”

They got to build plants. Plants to make F-35s, plants to make helicopters, plants to make the F-47 new jet. They have to start spending money on building airplanes and ships, and the things that we need not in 10 years and 15 years. We need them now.

🇺🇸⚡️ — The U.S. Navy has confirmed to The War Zone that the armament package for the first “flight” of its newly announced frigate class will not include a built-in Vertical Launch System (VLS).
➡️ The frigates, unveiled last Friday by Secretary of the Navy John Phelan, will be based on the U.S. Coast Guard’s Legend-Class National Security Cutter and built by Huntington Ingalls Industries in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
➡️ Instead of VLS cells, the initial configuration will feature an armament suite similar to that found on the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ships, specifically the Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship and Independence-class Littoral Combat Ship.

Today Joel Davis has another shot at bail.
Normally I’d be fairly certain a Magistrate would grant his bail but there’s obviously a layer of politics in Joel’s case which makes the whole thing difficult to predict.
Magistrates are appointed by the state and few of them are satisfied with remaining Magistrates.
To climb the legal ladder and become a more prestigious standard of Judge they often rule in favour of the state wherever politics is concerned, which is why the Magistrates level of court is generally an eye-rolling experience.
In my opinion the state has proved its point and has nothing to gain from keeping Joel in prison. They followed and publicly arrested a guy then held him in custody over a social media post. While in custody his first son was born and now it’s Christmas time.
The crime Joel has been accused of isn’t violent and has had no impact on the broader community. There’s been no notable damages and the politician Joel named in his post is probably sitting at home laughing at him.
Holding Joel any longer would be unnecessarily cruel, especially considering he’s probably going to be limited by various bail conditions.
Today the Magistrate hearing Joel’s bail application will be making a choice between unbiased justice and cruelty; between being an actual judge or just another system stooge.

🇸🇾🇸🇾⚡️ — Syria's Defense Ministry:
The Army General Command issued orders to cease targeting SDF firing positions after neutralizing several and containing the clashes away from civilians. Today, the Syrian Arab Army fulfilled its responsibilities to protect the population, responding only to sources of fire without attempting to change control lines.
🇸🇾 Sham FM correspondent: The SDF is withdrawing its forces from joint checkpoints with the Internal Security Forces near the Shihan roundabout in the city.
📝 Woofers: "Asayish in Aleppo are likely withdrawing to fortified positions within Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods. Probably due to the STG bringing up armor."

🇹🇷 🇸🇾 🇮🇱 Kurdish-led SDF cooperating with Israel in Syria, Turkish FM Hakan Fidan claims
Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are running operations "in coordination with Israel," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Monday.
"The SDF is running some of its operations in coordination with Israel, (and this) is actually a major obstacle to ongoing negotiations with Damascus," he said.
The visit by Turkey's foreign and defense ministers and its intelligence chief comes amid efforts by Syrian, Kurdish and US officials to show some progress with the deal. But Ankara accuses the SDF of stalling ahead of a year-end deadline.
Turkey views the US-backed SDF, which controls swathes of northeastern Syria, as a terrorist organization and has warned of military action if the group does not honor the agreement.
Last week Fidan said Ankara hoped to avoid resorting to military action against the SDF but that its patience was running out.
