Knowing when to sell is just as important as knowing when to buy! Here are a few reasons Mr. Jhunjhunwala suggests for exiting an investment:
1️⃣ Relative Opportunity
Found a better opportunity elsewhere? It might be time to switch.
2️⃣ Review of Critical Factors
If the business model weakens, growth slows down, or margins shrink, it’s a red flag.
3️⃣ Peak EPS or EPS Expectations
When Earnings Per Share (EPS) peaks, or its growth potential dims, consider an exit.
4️⃣ Absurd Valuation/PE
When the price is way above what the fundamentals justify, it might be overvalued.

Why is Ujjivan Small Finance Bank’s Promoter Holding 0%?
Many of you have asked about this, so here’s the quick answer:
Reason: Reverse Merger
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (SFB) shows 0% promoter holding because of a reverse merger with its parent company, Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd. Before this, Ujjivan Financial held a large promoter stake. But after the merger, Ujjivan Financial ceased to exist, and its shares were canceled. Shareholders then received shares in Ujjivan SFB through a swap ratio, reclassifying them as public or institutional investors instead of promoters.
This process aligns with RBI guidelines, which require Small Finance Banks to reduce promoter holdings over time.
Remember: A company with no promoters isn’t necessarily bad! Always weigh the pros and cons before deciding.

Getting married and selecting stocks is quite similar.
How?
To get married: You need a good job with increasing hikes and bonuses.
To buy a stock: You need a good profit and loss statement with increasing sales and net profits.
To get married: You need to have a clean character with less bad habits.
To buy a stock: You need a clean balance sheet with less borrowing.
To get married: Your income has to be more than your expenses.
To buy a stock: The cash flow statement should have more cash from operations.
To get married: Your mother-in-law and father-in-law should have honesty and integrity.
To buy a stock: Promoters and Management should have honesty and integrity.
And, Bad marriages and bad stocks are also quite similar.
How?
In both, you need to pay a hefty price to get out.
—and the exit strategy could be more complicated than you thought! 😅
