📜 For some reason a lot of people seem to think all of the angels are dudes. It's weird. I guess it's from old paintings of angels. They're overwhelmingly dudes, though obviously there are exceptions. Actually the community is pretty genderfluid and takes all kinds. Personally I think that at first the gay artists were just painting and sculpting the type of guy they were attracted to (and probably sleeping with the person acting as the artist's model) and then it kind of became a thing among all of the straight ones who were patriarchal at the time. 😐
