NH call to action for Election Day. 1. Ask your town first thing in the morning tomorrow, 1/23, how many absentee ballots there are currently. 2. Ask again at 5 Pm how many absentee ballots there are. 3. Get a recorded copy of your machine tapes when they are printed out. Please note most towns are completely willing but you will come across some towns for example Hudson, who brought them home before public viewing in a previous election. Do not get yourself in trouble if they say no. Simply notate or record their lack of transparency. 4. Pay attention to the check in table. Is everyone showing an ID? If not, are they signing an affidavit and having their picture taken? 5. Pay attention to the LCD screens on the Accuvote to make sure it reflects how many people have walked in and cast their ballots. 6. Notate, observe and ask if absentee ballots will be scanned through a specific machine, if so ask what machine number it is. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW. 7. Notate and ask how many "hand counted" ballots they have. (People asking for their ballot to be hand counted oppose to being put through their machines). And yes, you are allowed to have your ballot hand counted.
