Proud to have passed SB 1021 & gotten signed by the governor! Kudos to ASU ROTC grad Lt Mark Habelt for leading this! Provides significant financial relief to Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadets attending public universities in Arizona. It grants in-state tuition status to contracted ROTC cadets, regardless of their original state of residence. SB 1021 received bipartisan support throughout the legislative process, passing the Senate unanimously & advancing through the House w/ strong backing. Arizona now becomes 2nd state, after Tennessee, to guarantee in-state tuition for contracted ROTC cadets; expected to enhance affordability of higher education for aspiring military officers & strengthen the state’s ROTC programs by improving recruitment & retention.

My SB 1591 passed the Arizona Senate. Arizonans should not have to pay for the right to keep and bear arms for their Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permit.

My SB 1051 passed, at the behest of Flagstaff’s own @JeffOravits, which would subdivide spaces for small businesses without requiring onerously expensive engineer stamps - SAVING THOUSANDS of DOLLARS!
