Hyperscale Data (NYSE American: GPUS) announced that as of December 14, its Bitcoin treasury—including held Bitcoin and cash allocated for future purchases—totaled approximately $75.5 million, representing 97.5% of its market capitalization as of the December 15 close. The company holds about 498.46 Bitcoin through its subsidiary Sentinum and has allocated an additional $31.5 million in cash for future acquisitions. — link
PancakeSwap announced it will co-incubate Probable, an onchain prediction market protocol on BNB Chain, together with YZI Labs. The protocol will support onchain predictions and betting across sports, politics, crypto, and major events. Users can deposit any asset, which will be automatically converted to USDT for wagering, and price feeds will be provided via UMA oracles. — link
Solana said on X that the network has faced sustained DDoS attacks over the past week, claiming the scale ranks as the fourth-largest attack event in the history of distributed systems. The attacks have not impacted Solana’s network performance so far, and on-chain operations remain stable. Solana added that one of its core design goals is to continue operating normally under such attacks. — link
MetaMask has officially launched native Bitcoin (BTC) support, enabling users to buy BTC directly with fiat, send transactions on the Bitcoin mainnet, and swap BTC with EVM-native assets and SOL. Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank, said it is testing multiple DeFi products as client demand for crypto trading and holdings continues to grow rapidly. Delphi Digital said in its latest "2026 Application Outlook" report that SocialFi’s next phase will be driven in 2025 by the convergence of more social trading and increasingly financialized social media. Grayscale said in its latest "2026 Digital Asset Outlook" that while quantum computing poses a long-term risk to blockchain cryptography, it is unlikely to affect Bitcoin—or the broader crypto market’s prices and valuations—in 2026. The report noted that most public blockchains will ultimately need to adopt post-quantum cryptography upgrades. However, a "cryptographically relevant" quantum computer capable of breaking Bitcoin’s public-key cryptography and forging digital signatures to steal assets is widely estimated to be unlikely to emerge before 2030 at the earliest. — link
The U.S. Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) said in its 2025 annual report that it has eased its stance on crypto assets and stablecoins, no longer framing them as an immediate systemic risk. FSOC cited the GENIUS Act, which took effect in July, as providing a federal regulatory framework for payment stablecoins, bringing greater clarity while supporting U.S. stablecoin innovation.
