The situation is interesting—until recently, no one doubted Tonnel’s dominance, and MRKT seemed like a contender for second place, thanks to Tyler Durden’s hype. But the market has reshuffled the marketplaces as it pleased, and Portals, the last to join, came out on top. It’s clear Tonnel has deflated, largely due to Mr. Freeman’s questionable moves. Just take yesterday’s purge of inactive users— I had about 250 referrals, and now only 46 remain. Though that’s still a lot; referral payouts came maybe three times total. I don’t know what activity the surviving referrals showed—probably just joining giveaways. Now we’re waiting for Mint. When I saw the news yesterday, I couldn’t figure out what marketplace it was—it had completely slipped my mind. On one hand, that’s fair, of course. On the other, it makes the premarket practically unusable. They haven’t specified yet what will happen with these 50%. Could it be that the Market takes 25% for itself? If they’re truly looking out for users, the right move would be to give most of it to the buyer. Maybe that’s the case—I don’t know, MRKT has gone pretty quiet lately, though their app itself doesn’t look bad.
