Yesterday I wrote about the swords, but I didn’t have the energy left for the rings. What can I say—the swords seemed like a gem, I grabbed 150 of them, but they rolled out some total rubbish. I checked out the sword skins and their rarity. It all feels a bit weird. They missed out on so many interesting options: Frostmourne, Excalibur. Thousands of legends and movies to draw from. Instead, they made four almost identical green swords with tiny differences in the handles and a few recolors of the default model. The rare swords look way too plain. Fine, I’ll comment after all. There’s no one to thank—nobody was supporting them even before Smerkis’s arrest. They dragged things out for over a year, tap-tap-tapping, only for it to turn out to be a piece of crap on a stick, and now they expect people to trade their scam. All the big players have already listed, more or less, while Blum stretched it out so long that there’s no point anymore. And who’s going to list them now? Let’s get started. Today, there was no hesitation about what to write about right off the bat. Of course, it’s about Vladimir Smerkis. The news broke last night, but I decided to save it for the morning so as not to look like those influencers who suddenly forgot about Snoop Dogg and switched to our criminal. Now everyone’s acting wise after the fact, saying Smerkis has been a long-time scammer, scamming people since 2017. But if that’s the case, why the hell was he freely walking around Moscow, being a public figure, speaking at crypto conferences, and not afraid of anything? He remained public even after pulling off his scam with Blum. That platform’s sole purpose is to scam people with impunity. For that alone, he should be locked up for ten years. Same goes for all the other founders of similar platforms. The reason for his arrest is still unclear. All we know is that he was arrested under Article 159, Part 4 —fraud as part of an organized crime group causing especially large-scale damage. Based on the description, it does sound like Blum Labs. Meanwhile, Blum Labs retroactively reported Smerkis’s dismissal:

I don’t like dancing on people’s graves or rejoicing in others’ misfortunes. But I hate scammers—their place is in prison.
