I’m reading news about a $50,000 scam through refunds and can’t quite piece the whole scheme together in my head. There’ll be a lot of questions in this post—help me figure it out. As far as I understand, some guy with an iPhone was selling stars on FunPay cheaper than on Fragment. He sold a million stars and then requested a refund through the App Store. I don’t use an iPhone, so it’s a bit unclear to me. Does that mean you can buy anything there and then return it within 21 days? They say in some jurisdictions, the refund period can even be up to 60 days. So, I could download a game, play it inside out in 20 days, and calmly get my money back? Knowledgeable folks, please write about this in the comments. There’s also an interesting point about buying stars on third-party platforms.
