But when Trump places his own initials on a publicly traded company now tied to fusion research, I think we should pay attention… The future whether we like it or not, is AI, but this requires more energy that we can even begin to imagine. Our current sources of energy are by no means capable of maintaining a digital world running, so perhaps they will finally have no choice but to slowly disclose methods of harnessing limitless energy. In 1967, at the height of the Six-Day War, a U.S. Navy intelligence ship, the USS Liberty, was attacked for nearly two hours by Israeli aircraft and torpedo boats. Thirty-four American servicemen were killed and over 170 were wounded. The ship was clearly marked with the American flag. Israel claimed it was a tragic case of mistaken identity, but many of the surviving crew did not, and still do not, believe that. They testified to: • Repeated attack waves • Jamming of U.S. communications • Torpedoes fired after the ship was already disabled • Life rafts deliberately machine-gunned These are eyewitness accounts from U.S. sailors. The attack was clearly intended to sink the ship, leave no survivors, blame Egypt and drag the US into the war on Israel’s side. The crew was explicitly warned not to discuss the attack and some were even told that speaking publicly could result in court martial, loss of benefits and even prison. Their statements were classified, even though many details posed no security risk. The investigation was rushed and sealed. The U.S. president at the time was Lyndon B. Johnson who had taken office after the assassination of JFK. Before his death, Kennedy had become a serious problem for Israel. He was pressuring for inspections of Israel’s nuclear facilities, raising concerns about nuclear proliferation, and pushing back against growing foreign lobbying influence in Washington, including what later became AIPAC. After Kennedy was gone, those pressures disappeared entirely. Kennedy was eliminated because he had become a problem for Israel and LBJ was put in his place to make sure the US would cooperate with Israel. The USS Liberty was not an accident but part of a calculated attempt to drag the United States directly into the war on Israel’s behalf. That scenario could only work with political cover at the highest level, and the rapid shutdown of any real investigation suggests exactly that.
