Hi All, We hope you are all well and have had time to breathe, relax and reflect after the mandates were officially revoked in March. We are highly aware of what a terrible and stressful time that was for everyone, but we must not become complacent in our attitudes. We are receiving messages and emails on a daily basis from both NHS staff who want to move positions / job roles within the NHS and from healthcare students who are still experiencing awful levels of discrimination regarding their Covid vaccination status. Not to mention the unvaccinated members of the public who are finding they that they cannot visit their loved ones on hospital wards due to discriminatory visitation policies put in place by certain NHS Trusts. Then there’s the masks and PCR tests. This cannot go on, it’s wrong and we certainly won’t stand back and let it go unchallenged. We had a very interesting and informative zoom earlier in the week with Rev. Dr Warren B Leigh and a couple of his team from The Legal Cafe. Warren and his team have offered to train people up and give them the necessary legislative knowledge to feel empowered in challenging this discriminatory behaviour being displayed by the NHS trusts , private care sectors and university management with a view to helping others. We would like to arrange a Zoom for anyone who would be interested in learning the skills and knowledge they would need in order to help others. The silence certainly is deafening. We have successfully defeated mandates, yet we await acknowledgement from our managers and higher ups of the distress, anxiety and depression caused by the implementation of mandates. We have heard it spoken, directly from the CEO in charge of keeping the NHS employed, that staff with skills and experiece, and worth less than a vial of mRNA technology. Therapists for Medical Freedom have launched an email campaign so people can demand a response to their open letter on Vaccine Mandates from our Professional Bodies - as it's been total radio silence so far. They are simply refusing to engage. +++Covid vaccination as condition of employment +++ If you come across a job advert requesting vaccination as a condition of employment, this is simply discrimination and we ALL need to challenge any employers who are doing this.  Below are the steps we all need to take to challenge these employers and universities. Please follow the steps and hopefully by working together we can put the pressure on in an attempt to put an end to this discriminatory behaviour.  1.   In the first instance, please either give the company a quick call or send a brief email to the contact mentioned in the job advert and ask if vaccination is still a condition of employment as it may just be that they haven’t removed it from the criteria yet.  2.   If they respond and confirm that vaccination is required, please send them the letter template that can be found on our website: nhs100k.com 3.   If they still insist it is required, then please either send their response to us or email the job advert to admin@NHS100K.org so that we can challenge this.  Thanks  NHS100K

Good news, we have a date for revocation: 15TH MARCH Really good response to the consultation-- approx 90,000 responded, 55% members of public to revoke the mandate and 23% HCPs to revoke the mandate. Further details of the analysis is in the official government website below. Good work team, we are on the way there! 28th Feb to 4th March -- no mandates on the agenda. On the 1st March, Sajid will be questioned on the above subjects. No word on revoking mandate votes. This is unfortunate as some of you are awaiting confirmation of mandates being revoked before new jobs begin. Please insist that mandates will be revoked, and that there is no requirement for anyone other than your doctor to know your health records. You do not give consent due to fears of health discrimination. For students, please push to continue placements-- if NHS staff are not required to be vaccinated, neither are you. Please remind them the mandates have been revoked and the science regarding Omicron shows no requirement for vaccination. We would like to support Dr John Campbell's campaign to ensure safe administration of covid vaccinations. Please consider sending his video to your Trust trainers/educators, or any vaccine centres to be aware of aspiration. Please report ANY reaction to the Yellow Card Reporting Scheme.

Hi team, quick update, no word on voting to revoke the mandates this week-- waiting to see next week's parliament discussion list. If anyone is receiving COPI from managers as an excuse to determine your vaccination status, please remind management that COPI is for patients, not employees. If anyone is receiving threats of disciplinaries, please contact your Union Representatives to go through due process. As Omicron is more prevalent in the community with greater recovery outcomes and clear reduction in hospitalisation and death, there is no need to be vaccinated to "protect" our vulnerable. Our clear protection is the PPE they should be supplying us, as well as the infection control procedures they should be highlighting which reduces ALL infectious diseases. Do not let the NHS bully you. 🙏

Hullo team! It has been a while, and an uncertain lull to which some of us are enjoying, and some of us are seeing as an uncomfortable limbo before a storm. However you are viewing it, please know that we support you. A few things: Public consultation has closed. The Houses are in recess until the 21st February. Vote to revoke will occur once they return, and we don't believe they will reinstate mandates. 1) another U-turn will further distrust in government and Bo-Jo wants to stay in his seat. 2) the science is poor in the Omicron/vaccination benefits case. 3) there is no reason to reinstate it especially if the government have lifted other covid related restrictions. "Back door mandates". Although there is the suggestion that vaccination is a "professional duty" there is no law to suggest so. Please revert back to keeping your health status private and if they insist on your vaccination records, request what laws they require to know. Also request that they recognise antibody levels, as they do for previous vaccinations if you have had a previous covid infection. Also refer back to Health Discrimination/Equalities laws. Vaccination as a condition of employment. Again, you do not have to reveal your health details, particularly if it will be used to discriminate against you. So if you are applying for work, and they insist on your vaccine status, please ask them if they will be discriminating against you based on your health status. If your employer is still insisting on vaccinations, please let us know so that we can help you as best we can, DM @lilith_002.
