Today, one of my subscribers complained about the number of news posts about MRKT and almost immediately got frozen (I think the reason for the freeze has nothing to do with that comment—it’s just a coincidence 😁). hey say there’s trouble with MRKT again. 400 gifts were sent to users who didn’t buy them, including 4 Pepes. It’s either a hack or a screw-up by the programmers who made this app for 300k. Either it’s completely fake, but the bot is currently under maintenance. I’m not sure about the claimed development cost, but hundreds of thousands have definitely been poured into the PR campaign. I don’t think losing 400 gifts would lead to the app being labeled a scam, especially with the huge amount of money invested in it. But I’m seeing a lot of persistent negativity toward this marketplace. In the end, Tonnel got hacked too, and we’re still using it just fine. I don’t see anything wrong with competitors popping up. Tonnel is definitely better right now, but give it time—MRKT will eventually get polished and sorted out. I’ll be using both. A new bug with gifts came up last night. They’ve created a bunch of duplicate gifts with the same number. I’ve seen this before in the profile of some PUBG legend or something like that, but now a profile has popped up with a ton of identical sakuras. Telegram is closing a loophole for gift scams through "business" bots. In the beta version, the permission toggle for transferring gifts is now disabled by default, and attempting to enable it will trigger a pop-up with a threatening message:

The bot @username will be able to manage your gifts and stars, including giving them away to other users.

I hope this puts an end to offers to test all sorts of garbage. They’re even promising some 100–200 stars. I didn’t find myself in a dumpster to agree to such a gig, even if there wasn’t a scam involved. Until the update is officially released, please be careful and under no circumstances test shady bots from sketchy characters.
