💣 Putin’s Nuclear Showpiece: Moscow Tests the Missile That ‘Can Fly Forever’ Russia has test fired its long rumored nuclear powered Burevestnik cruise missile, a weapon Vladimir Putin claims can outlast, outfly, and outmaneuver every defense system on the planet. The test — held October 21 — saw the missile travel 14,000 kilometers over 15 hours, according to General Valery Gerasimov, Russia’s top military officer. Kremlin cameras captured Putin in camouflage as he called it “a unique weapon no one else in the world possesses”.

“We’ll prepare the infrastructure to deploy this system to the armed forces.”

Yet Putin treats it as proof of vision.
