"December 17, 2025 - Tina Peters’ team wasted no time.  We were able to obtain copies of the Pardon which President Trump signed on November 11th.  Copies were emailed to the Warden of the prison in Pueblo, Colorado and to the Colorado Department of Corrections by Peter Ticktin and Stefanie Lambert.  Attorney John Case took another copy of the Pardon to deliver to the prison, itself.  Other members were working on strategies to go forward.    The Colorado Department of Corrections, after receiving the demand responded that the Pardon was not effective and that Tina Peters would not be released.  Melissa Smith, Deputy Executive Director of Operations, of the DOC, acknowledged the demand for the release of Tina Peters and without any consideration of the law or legal explanation which Mr. Ticktin had given, arbitrarily chose to keep a freed lady who had been freed by the President of the United States, in prison, notwithstanding that Mrs. Peters is in danger.  It seems that the Colorado Department of Corrections is Hell-bent to torture her with isolation as they supposedly have no other way to keep her safe other than to keep her in the “Hole.”  This is not only cruel and unusual punishment, for no deserved reason, but it is unending with no solution in sight.   Mrs. Peters’ team of attorneys are coordinated and are going to be moving with alacrity to get Tina Peters out of prison.    Moreover, we are aware that some citizens have threatened to take action, such as breaking into the prison.  Tina and her attorneys are asking for anyone who is threatening to take such action to cease and desist.  Mrs. Peters will not cooperate with any such threats or actions.  She is an innocent lady, and will resort only to legal means to deal with the wrongful imprisonment by the present government of the State of Colorado."
