A lineup with Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Amad & Joshua Zirkzee should create better quality chances than this. This system limits them & relies on individual brilliance rather than regular, chance creation. The evidence keeps stacking up that this is the case.

FULL TIME REVIEW - This style of football is not only painfully boring but unsustainable. - We’re too reliant on individual brilliance and set pieces. - The table is tight and we have a real chance to go 5th, but maybe not with this manager. - Too many players misprofiled. - Five defenders and two DMs and we still concede. - Subbing a CB again at 1-1… in-game management awful. - Such a disjointed performance. At home to a relegation West Ham that made Liverpool look good, and we looked bang average. Couldn’t create vs 10-man Everton. - Even at home he insists on five defenders and this parking-the-bus approach. - It’s not just bad results, the football is painfully bad when we have good players in Bruno, Mbeumo, Amad, Cunha, Maz being limited. Couldn’t beat a shocking Spurs side or poor Forest without last-min winners through set pieces or individual brilliance. This isn’t sustainable. One game a week and this squad should be performing better. An AM at DM. A RB at CB. A LB at CB. A winger at WB. A LAM at ST. A RB at LWB. Positives: Mazraoui very good at RCB. Lammens commanded his box well. Bruno tried to make things happen. Amad started every dangerous move. There’s a real opportunity for Europe with one game a week, but a manager who won’t take risks or adapt worries me. Not saying sacking Amorim fixes everything, but another coach could get a lot more from this squad. I’m worried he won’t get us back into Europe when the chance is right there.
