Ripple and Mastercard test RLUSD for credit card settlements Ripple, in partnership with Mastercard, WebBank and Gemini, is testing the RLUSD stablecoin for fiat credit card settlements. For consumers, the process appears seamless, but all card transactions are actually settled on the XRP Ledger and processed in real time. If the pilot program receives regulatory approval, it will be integrated into Mastercard’s internal systems in the coming months, followed by WebBank and Gemini — including cards offering rewards in BTC, XRP or Solana.
