After several days in the ‘very poor’ and ‘severe’ categories, Delhi’s air quality eased into the ‘poor’ bracket on Tuesday, with an overall AQI of 292, according to data by the CPCB.
Seventeen of the city’s 39 monitoring stations still recorded AQI levels above 300, but most showed signs of improvement compared with last week. Anand Vihar, however, remained in the ‘very poor’ category, registering an AQI of 319. Bawana recorded the highest AQI in Delhi at 342, while IGI Airport registered the lowest at 215.

The NCRTC has completed the DPR for the proposed Namo Bharat RRTS corridor that will connect Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida, Hindustan Times reported. The project is estimated to cost around ₹15,000 crore.
Work on the 61-km corridor is expected to begin in December 2026. According to the officials in the report, the project may take around 4.5 years to finish. The route will reportedly include two stations in Gurugram, two in Faridabad, one in Noida and one in Greater Noida.

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said the ministry has continuously been working to encourage competition in the sector and encouraged more airlines to come to the industry with the government's help.
Speaking at the Rajya Sabha, Naidu said, "We have envisioned the demand to be growing at such a rate that we want to have more airlines in the picture... The demand that India is creating today, we need to have five big airlines, and that has been the effort from the ministry to encourage more airlines to join the industry."

IndiGo stock cracked another 6.9% in intra-day trade on Monday as India's biggest domestic airline by market share - IndiGo - continued to face operational challenges. IndiGo stock hit an intra-day low of ₹5,001, and was quoting with a loss of 5% at ₹5,100.
The Interglobe Aviation stock has slumped 13.5% thus far in December 2025; amid which the company's market-cap has plunged from ₹2.28 trillion to ₹1.94 trillion - wiping out over ₹34,000 crore in investors' wealth.

Delhi’s air quality continued to stay in the ‘very poor’ category on Monday, with 28 monitoring stations reporting an AQI above 300. The AQI at Anand Vihar was 354, while the citywide average stood at 318, according to the CPCB. Eleven of the remaining 39 stations recorded AQI in the ‘poor’ range, though most were close to the 300 mark.
