Senate Bill 25 would require some foods and beverages sold in Texas to state that they are “not recommended for human consumption” if they contain ingredients that are banned or required to carry warning labels in the European Union, United Kingdom, Australia or Canada. A two-year investigation by The Lever reveals that the FDA has abandoned its own scientific standards, fast-tracking dangerous and ineffective drugs while leaving patients to suffer the consequences. Dr. Lakshmi Panagiotakopoulos, a pediatric infectious disease expert who helped promote the COVID-19 vaccine to pregnant women, resigned Tuesday from her position as co-leader of a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention working group on the COVID-19 vaccine and is leaving the agency.
