The DOJ has eliminated disparate-impact regulations today, rolling-back the liability priority of the 1964 Civil Rights Act which gave an advantage to people ‘statistically likely to experience discrimination’ such as non-Whites, the LGBT and non-Christians. This means discrimination in a federal legal context must be proven by intent and conduct, making it harder to merely accuse businesses or White men of discriminating for maintaining reasonable standards.
