All the market indices are hinting towards an altcoin rally, don’t know what possibly could be the extent but 1D close on all the charts would further solidify this. $TOTAL2 UPDATE $TOTAL2 breaking above the $1.63T resistance level, this is going to be big for $ETH and altcoin market also as a whole. We already had a 4H close above the resistance but need atleast 1D candle close to confirm the reclaim. Last time price was above this level was back in 2021 and remember that we never had a 1D close above this level. So, if daily closes above this level, $ETH will have a smooth sailing towards $6K and that too in s short period of time.

$BTC UPDATE I feel it’s very likely that we see a drop down to $116.3K support in the coming hours. $BTC has this nice looking ascending trendline, we already know where there is a trendline, there is a breakout/breakdown. Also, this whole move looks absolutely similar to one we had last time too when price created a deviation above $120.5K resistance and then dropped down to $116.3K. Not particularly interested in shorting here since we have CPI data coming today 1:30 PM UK time, so there will be volatility but looking at the chart, it may not be a bad idea to position into a short at deviation retest of $119.5K level with tight invalidation above the last high. But yes, since $USDT.D is still at resistance, this whole shorting idea is only valid if you are not looking at any other correlated charts because that’s where things get a little complicated.

$TOTAL UPDATE $TOTAL has a created a massive deviation below $3.7T support level. Now, with deviations like this, you have a choice to either go long when price moves back above support or at the deviation retest and this is exactly why we took the recent Bitcoin long around $116K few days ago because $TOTAL creeped back above this support level and remember that $TOTAL takes into account the large market share of Bitcoin ($BTC.D) and so it’s heavily influenced by what happens with Bitcoin. So, in short I am looking for the deviation retest of $3.7T range to enter the next best trade on Bitcoin, I don’t know where bitcoin price could be when this happens but out of all the other charts including $USDT.D, $STABLE.C.D etc, this one is giving a clear picture at this moment.

$BTC UPDATE $USDT.D is back at resistance. Decision time soon. Not willing to take a long here though because first RR is super bad and plus, Bitcoin may go down further filling the CME gap and also, the daily candle looks super weird. The last time we had exactly a candle like this into ATH and the very next day, we were at $116K. So, yeah if you are positioned already then that’s great, there is no reason to rush into anything right now.

$TOTAL2 UPDATE Remember that though $ETH already has reclaimed $4K level flipping it into support, we are still at a multiyear resistance level on $TOTAL2 and this is the index which does take into account the large market share of $ETH and excluded Bitcoin’s market cap. So, it basically means that price action for this index is heavily dominated by $ETH in general. So, for $ETH to continue with bullish momentum, it’s important that $TOTAL2 manages to flip this resistance. Same as $3K is a big POI for $ETH and has not been retested on daily, same is the case with $TOTAL2 aswell which has $1.28T level that has been retested. Not saying that we’ll go back there immediately and since we are right at resistance, there is a greater possibility that this level gets flipped eventually sending $ETH and most big caps higher.

$BTC UPDATE $USDT.D just sweeped the previous major swing low created when Bitcoin made the new ATH. The next real support for $USDT.D is still at 4.05% level and resistance at 4.22% level. If we get a retest of 4.22% resistance, will get into a long again since we had a really bullish weekly close. No need to overcomplicate things here, just play level.

$ETH UPDATE Closed both my spot and leverage position on $ETH fully were. 32% move we were able to catch on this one. Things are alot more different this time in terms of $ETH.D but still, best to wait for the flip of this resistance to buy again. We have seen this playbook quite a few times already in past one year or so where every deeper retracement into $4K is followed by a bigger pullback, so I am naturally a bit hesitant to pull the trigger again especially when we are at resistance. Wait for $3K or the reclaim of 4K, simple.

$BTC.D UPDATE As much as I would love to take a few longs on altcoins right now, I would still avoid doing that since $BTC.D is back at support. We have seen dominance bounce at this level two times already earlier and unless we see a flip of this support, you should not take too much risk on longs right now. Remember that no matter how good your altcoin setup is, it’s success is heavily contingent upon favourable alignment of both Bitcoin’s market structure and bitcoin dominance and without this important confluence, the likelihood of failure will always be considerably high.
