What Happened?
[1] Fall in US Market on pause. The US index NASDAQ is in GREEN.
[2] Multiple countries, including the EU, have shown interest in negotiating tariffs with the US.
[3] US markets are now punishing companies that rely heavily on manufacturing countries (like Apple and Nike).
[4] Meanwhile, stocks like NVIDIA and Walmart are being supported, especially as Taiwan may enter a zero-tariff deal with the US.

Yes Bank just got hit with an Income Tax demand of ₹2,209 crore for the 2019-20 assessment year—even though the reassessment didn’t change the original income. 🤔
The stock has already dropped 25% in six months, and this news might add to the volatility when markets open on Tuesday.
The bank, however, is standing firm, saying the demand "appears to be without any basis."
They’re planning to appeal and seek rectification, and they don’t expect this to impact business operations.

- Goldman Sachs recently invested ₹281 crore in Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) and Zomato.
Why?
- HAL : Defense Boom, indigenous defense manufacturing, rising defense exports, gov placing massive orders for fighter jets, helicopters, and other defense equipment.
- Zomato : Improved margins, posted profits, attracting institutional buyers, Expanding Business Model (Blinkit, Hyperpure, events, ticketing etc..)
Institutional investors like Goldman Sachs don’t invest randomly—they see long-term potential.

Why Some Employees Will NEVER Get EPS Benefits ?
If you joined the workforce after 1st September 2014 and your basic salary was above ₹15,000, you were never eligible for the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS). However, many employers wrongly deducted EPS contributions despite this rule.
Why is this a problem?
[1] You will never get a pension from these incorrect contributions.
[2] You cannot transfer these EPS funds when changing jobs.
What should you do?
[1] Check your PF passbook to see if EPS deductions were made.
[2] Contact your employer’s HR team to correct the issue and move the EPS funds to your EPF.
[3] When joining a new job, fill Form 11 correctly: Mark that you were never an EPS member (Points 7 & 8).
Act now to avoid future PF transfer issues! 🚨
