☕️ Tension Is Typing
Since the beginning of 2025, Telegram has handed over user data for more than 22,000 accounts, according to user estimates based on the platform’s publicly available data.
💘 That’s nearly four times more than during the same period last year — when the messenger disclosed data from 5,826 accounts.
💘 Pavel Durov’s stance on cooperating with authorities shifted after his 2024 arrest — Telegram is now actively working with law enforcement agencies.
💘 The majority of requests came from India (9,197), Germany (1,311), France (668), the U.S. (576), and Spain (493). In total, 24 countries submitted 13,615 requests.
💘 Telegram emphasizes that despite the change, it will not block political channels or protest movements. Users remain skeptical of that promise.

😀 Samsung Trolls Apple Again
A Korean Instagram account linked to Samsung posted two videos mocking the weight and thickness of the iPhone 16 Pro using the new Galaxy S25 Edge.
💘 In the first video, the devices are lifted into the air with helium balloons. The S25 Edge floats effortlessly, while the iPhone 16 Pro proves too heavy to take off.
💘 In the second video, the phones are sent down a conveyor belt with gaps of varying widths. The iPhone gets stuck at the 8mm mark, while the Samsung smoothly passes the entire "test."
It’s worth noting that the iPhone 16 Pro isn’t actually a direct competitor to the Galaxy S25 Edge. A more fitting rival — the iPhone 17 Air — is expected to debut this fall.

😽 iPhone vs. LiDAR
A Reddit user named Jeguetelli shared a video where he tried to film a Volvo EX90. But things took an unexpected turn — spots started appearing on the camera sensor, literally burned in by the car’s LiDAR.
Some commenters accused Jeguetelli of faking the footage since the burn marks disappeared when he zoomed out at the end of the video. Turns out, the explanation is pretty simple: only the periscope camera with 5x zoom was damaged, while the main camera stayed intact.
In the comments, Jeguetelli explained that he shot the video on an iPhone 16 Pro Max. The only way to fix the issue is by replacing the camera module — but luckily, he’s covered by Apple Care, so repair costs are taken care of.
Reports suggest that this problem only occurs with lasers using a 1550 nm wavelength — not all cars have this. Still, it’s unclear how similar LiDAR systems might interact with other car cameras on the road.

😎 Step Mastered
Elon Musk has unveiled the dancing Tesla Optimus robot. In the footage, the robot performs an energetic step dance, coordinating arm and leg movements while skillfully hopping — all without losing balance.
Although the robot has a safety tether, it doesn’t actually support Optimus — it just hangs freely as a precaution in case of a fall.
According to Musk, Optimus learned to dance through reinforcement learning (RL) — a technique where behavior improves based on trial and error.
Musk also confirmed plans to send the Optimus robot to Mars by the end of 2026 as part of the SpaceX Starship mission.
