Lamine Yamal is back in Spain’s squad after a groin injury kept him out of last month’s World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Bulgaria.
The Barcelona winger has recovered and is expected to feature in Spain’s upcoming matches: Georgia on November 15 in Tbilisi and Turkey on November 18 in Seville.
PSG midfielder Fabián Ruiz also returns after recovering from a leg injury sustained in early October during the Champions League win over Barcelona.
Spain, current European champions, lead Group E and are close to securing automatic qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
However, coach Luis de la Fuente will be without several key players: Pedri, Dani Carvajal, Nico Williams, and Robin Le Normand, all sidelined with injuries.

Yamal and Rashford Lead Barcelona to 3–1 Win Over Elche
Barcelona bounced back from their Clasico defeat with a 3–1 victory over Elche, thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, and Marcus Rashford. The win moved Barca back into second place, five points behind Real Madrid.
Despite another shaky defensive display and an ongoing injury crisis, Hansi Flick’s side secured a much-needed result. Rafa Mir scored for Elche and twice hit the woodwork, but Rashford sealed the points with a fine strike in the second half.
Teenage star Yamal impressed after a quiet showing against Real, while Torres paid tribute to his hometown of Valencia after scoring.

Super League Battle Heats Up: Real Madrid Targets UEFA with $4B Lawsuit
Real Madrid and the Super League’s promoters have filed a claim exceeding $4 billion against UEFA, accusing it of crushing the 2021 breakaway league and abusing its market dominance. A22 Sports Management argues UEFA’s monopoly blocked innovation and cost clubs and players across Europe.
Recent court rulings in Spain and the EU support their stance, stating UEFA and FIFA limited free competition. UEFA defends itself, saying the Super League project remains dead and that its new rules, updated in 2024, are fully compliant.
Real Madrid vows to keep pushing for “fairer football” — and a hefty payout.

Arsenal working to boost Emirates atmosphere
Despite leading the Premier League, Arsenal are addressing concerns about a lack of noise at the Emirates Stadium, often mocked as a “library” by rival fans.
Mikel Arteta has been urging supporters to “play the game with us” and arrive early to energize the players. The club has already made several changes, such as removing the tunnel cover so players and fans can hear each other, adjusting goal celebrations so supporters chant players’ names, introducing light shows before major games, and stopping second-half screenings in concourses to encourage fans back to their seats.
More fan-driven initiatives are expected.

Van Dijk Urges Unity as Liverpool Struggle Continues
After Liverpool’s fourth consecutive Premier League defeat — a 3-2 loss to Brentford — captain Virgil van Dijk called for collective responsibility, insisting the Reds can overcome their poor form.
“It’s easy to blame the backline, but it’s a collective thing,” said Van Dijk. “We need everyone’s support — we’ll get through this.” The defending champions have dropped to sixth, conceding in nine straight games.
Coach Arne Slot admitted concern, calling it the team’s “worst” display among the recent losses.
