👂 Rumors continue to swirl around Apple’s purported iPhone 17 Air 😁 Poor iPhone 17 Air is surrounded by rumors and leaks and sometimes it is difficult to stay sane especially when some pictures show as people call it 'Pixel's design'. 1️⃣ Well, in the second photo there is the back panel of an alleged iPhone 17 Air posted by a well-known insider Majin Bu, but the authenticity of the photo is debatable. The photo shows a full-width ‘camera bar’ on the back of the device, a big change from the current iPhone models’ corner bump. If the iPhone 17 Air features this camera bar design, that could be why another insider Ming-Chi Kuo specifically said the device would be 5.5mm thick at its “thinnest part.” 2️⃣ Another leak claims that the back panel will not be all glass, but with an aluminum alloy insert. The same insider says that the Dynamic Island area in Pro Max version will be even smaller thanks to superlens technology. 3️⃣ But Ming-Chi Kuo, contrary to various insiders about reducing the notch in the screen, believes that the size of the Dynamic Island won't change in the iPhone 17 series. 📆 With all of that said, we are still eight months away from unveiling iPhone 17 Air. There is still time for Apple to change the iPhone 17 Air’s design. Apple is likely prototyping multiple different design options and could ultimately choose to go a different route with the iPhone 17 Air’s design. 💬 Which would you like most? @iPhone #iPhone #leaks #rumors

🤩 Apple Watch Bands not safe from toxic chemicals 📰 A class action lawsuit filed against Apple this week in a California federal court accuses the company of false advertising and violating various consumer laws, by failing to disclose that some Apple Watch bands contain toxic materials. According to The Guardian, the study tested smartwatch models from Apple, Nike, Fitbit, and Google, but it apparently did not list any specific smartwatch bands containing PFAS by name. (PFAS can be absorbed through skin and lead to health problems) 🙅‍♂️ Apple has ensured that Apple Watch bands are "safe for users to wear."
Apple Watch bands are safe for users to wear. In addition to our own testing, we also work with independent laboratories to conduct rigorous testing and analysis of the materials used in our products, including Apple Watch bands.
👩‍⚖️ A judge still has to decide whether to allow the class action to proceed. Sometimes it seems that 'a class' wants to get extra money from any wealthy company. @iPhone #AppleWatch

📍 Apple Miami Worldcenter will open tomorrow 🧱 The new Apple Miami Worldcenter is built using local wood species and other low-carbon materials, which significantly reduced the carbon footprint of its construction. (by the way, it's because of this footprint many products no longer have the beloved Apple sticker) ♻️ Apple Miami Worldcenter is powered by 100% renewable energy and is completely carbon neutral. 🌳 The store also features a biophilic design that helps introduce shoppers to the beautiful green spaces surrounding the store at the entrance. 📱 18.3 leak gives a clue аbout spring launch timing 👂 Coming iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, and iPad Air 7 are rumoured to have preinstalled iOS 18.3 or iPadOS 18.3. It suggests that Apple will announce them by March or April, before the release of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the M4 chip will be announced earlier than those other devices, so the new MacBook Air models could end up being Apple's first product announcement of 2025. The account on 𝕏, which has a proven track record for iOS information, leaked the build numbers for iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 versions of coming dеvices and wished to remain anonymous. The leaked builds:
・iOS 18.3 for iPhone SE (4th generation) (22D8062) ・iPadOS 18.3 for iPad 11 and iPad Air (2025) (22D2060) ・iPadOS 18.3 for iPad 11 and iPad Air (2025) (22D2062)
The most important changes in iOS 18.3 will remain invisible to the eye as the update aims to optimize and fix previous bugs. Nevertheless, there are innovations, and some of them appeared in iOS 18.3 Release Candidate:
・Apple disabled the notification summary in Apple Intelligence for apps in the News & Entertainment category due to the neural network heavily altering their content, often turning them into fakes. ・There is now an option to disable summaries for some notifications. ・In Camera Control they renamed some toggles for easier access. ・In the sidebar of iMessage there is a Genmoji button that takes you to the emoji creation section. Tim Cook himself uses them! ・PDF editing warnings will appear. They will point out that cropping the document won’t actually remove any data, and some PDF viewers may still be able to see what you cut out. ・❗️ Apple Intelligence will now be enabled by default. ・Visual Intelligence will be able to add events to the Calendar directly when recognized. It also shows real-time information about animals and plants.
🔜 The final iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 betas were seeded this week, and the software updates are expected to be released next week for existing iPhone and iPad models. @iPhone #iOS #iPadOS #Macbook #rumors

📱 19 is six month away Nine month for a regular users. 📸 According to a new video from Jon Prosser (📺 channel Front Page Tech), iOS 19 will feature a redesigned Camera app inspired by visionOS. The image and the video reveal that the app will allegedly gain translucent menus for various camera controls. 🔍 The camera controls are split into photo and video categories, with options for recording spatial video, turning on a timer for a photo, and more. Additional controls for video resolution and frame rate pop over at the top of the screen as necessary. 📱 Overall, the new design has a cleaner aesthetic, with more of the Camera app's viewfinder visible on the screen compared to iOS 18.
ℹ️ A previous rumor indicated that iOS 18 would feature a visionOS-like redesign, but that never happened. An alleged screenshot of the Camera app with translucent menus even leaked a few months after that initial rumor, but it appeared to be fake. In the end, perhaps these are changes that Apple was working on for ‌iOS 19‌ instead.

📱 iPhone SE 4 dummies in iPhone 14-style design 📱 Sonny Dickson shared some images of an ‌iPhone SE‌ 4 dummy model, giving an insight into what it could look like. 👂 Rumors have suggested the next ‌iPhone SE‌ will look like the iPhone 14, and that seems to be accurate based on the images. There's an iPhone-14 style chassis with an aluminum band, a glass back, and a single-lens rear camera. ⏬️ No Action Button or Camera Control are depicted on these dummy models. That doesn't mean it won't happen, but it does make it less likely because case makers would need to accommodate these features. 🔎 New iPhone SE‌ is expected to include a faster A17 Pro chip that supports Apple Intelligence, an Apple-designed modem chip, and 8GB RAM. While it will only have that single camera, the camera is the same 48-megapixel Wide camera in the current ‌iPhone 16‌. 🔜 Debut of the model – sometime in March or April, and it will continue to be the company's lowest-cost device. Apple is said to be aiming to keep the price of if below $500. @iPhone #iPhone #rumors

🫙 It turned out there is Apple jam that is not for sale 📱 Tim Cook in his interview revealed that Apple collects the fruit from the trees that are around the Apple Park campus, using it to make jam. He shared spiced apple jam created from ‌Apple Park‌ trees with the podcast hosts. Apple primarily has apple trees because the land where the ‌Apple Park‌ campus is located used to be an orchard, but there are also cherry trees. 🫡 Tim said that his upbringing was "centered on work." He had a newspaper route at age 11, and at age 14, he "flipped burgers" at a fast food place called Tastee-Freez. His parents "instilled hard work," and the value of it has stayed with him "for a lifetime." That's why he doesn't see himself retired and "being at home doing nothing". 🤩 Apple has a hybrid working schedule where employees are allowed to work from home up to two days a week. So, Tim said he works from home only on Fridays because "nobody's in the office and it's depressing when there's nobody there." 🔎 Some other tidbits:
・Cook loves white wine, specifically Chardonnay. His favorite is Kistler. ・For breakfast, he eats a protein rich cashew cereal from Whole Foods with unsweetened almond milk. ・Cook doesn't cook, and eats most of his meals during the week at Caffé Macs. He takes dinner home. ・Ethel's Fancy in Palo Alto is one of his preferred restaurants, where he likes to get the octopus. ・He eats a lot of fish. ・Cook loves chocolate, especially dark chocolate. ・Table Manners has a tradition of asking guests about their last meal. Cook said his would be an appetizer of hamachi crudo with jalapeno, a branzino for a main dish, broccolini as a side, and anything chocolate for dessert. ・When not working, Cook likes to hike, and he likes to go to national parks for vacation. ・Cook recently went caving in Slovenia.
As usual,
We have so many things coming up,
said Apple's CEO. @iPhone #AppleInc #interviews

💻 Dell shamelessly copies Apple in major PC rebrand 📰 The new approach of Dell is branding its computers as “Dell,” “Dell Pro” and “Dell Pro Max,” depending on their configurations. 😁 It doesn’t take a marketing expert to see this as a page from Apple’s playbook. During Dell’s briefing with reporters on the change, the company said it made the move because of a positive consumer response to the terminology. That’s no surprise given the popularity of the iPhone and how long Apple has been using this naming strategy. 💻 To be fair to Dell — no matter how shameless the move may be — Apple doesn’t own those terms. And the tech industry is rife with similar nomenclature. Both Apple and Samsung use the Plus or + suffix on their larger phone offerings, and plenty of companies use “Pro” in their names. (It’s worth noting that Apple adopted the “Ultra” designation for its high-end chips and watches years after Samsung started using it.) @iPhone #Macbook #market

📰 Apple's 2025 plans from Bloomberg's tech reporter Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared a fresh article on Apple's upcoming updates. 🔉 About HomePad
According to the insider, Apple plans to unveil a new home center “HomePad” in March, but sales could start much later. That's because the device's system (codenamed Pebble) is closely tied to Apple Intelligence's App Intents features, which will only appear in iOS 18.4, meaning the device itself won't be available for sale until the system's release, which is April at the earliest. More features for the “HomePad” with Apple Intelligence and for other devices in the ecosystem will launch with the “LLM Siri” under development, which will launch in iOS 19, with full access in iOS 19.4 (spring 2026).
🥽 About Apple Vision Pro 2
The device will be released in 2026, but could be announced later this year. Meanwhile, active production of a new spatial computer with an M5 chip inside could also begin later this year. And at the moment, the more important goal for the company is to release a cheaper version of the Vision Pro.
🎧 Apple's smart glasses with cameras and AirPods with cameras
These are in the early stages of design, they will NOT be released in the next year.
📲 About iPad
The basic 11th generation iPad may have a simplified A17 Pro chip with 5 GPU cores and 8GB of RAM – just like the iPad mini (A17 Pro) already has. This way, the company will be able to provide the basic tablet with Apple Intelligence support. The iPad 11 is expected to be released in the spring, along with the iPhone SE4 (aka iPhone 16E).

😤 Mark Zuckerberg criticized Apple for its lack of innovation and strict third-party developer rules
They haven’t invented anything great in a while. It’s like Steve Jobs invented the iPhone, and now they’re just kind of sitting on it 20 years later,
– said the founder, chairman and CEO of Meta. 📺 In a nearly three-hour-long episode of the Joe Rogan Podcast on Friday that covered a wide range of topics, Zuckerberg also praised Apple, saying, “The iPhone is probably one of the most important inventions of all time.” 📉 But he noted Apple’s decline in iPhone sales as people wait to upgrade their phones. (After a recent slump, iPhone sales jumped 6% year over year in its fiscal fourth quarter.) 😫 In an effort to offset the company’s lack of product innovation, he said that Apple is “squeezing people” for money and pointed to the 30% commission Apple charges on app developers using its payment systems. Additionally, Zuckerberg claimed the company makes it difficult for third-party plug-ins to have success on iPhone devices:
They build stuff like Airpods which are cool, but they’ve thoroughly hamstrung the ability for anyone else to build something that can connect to the iPhone in the same way,
– he said. 😁 Zuckerberg recalled frustrations surrounding his desire to have the Ray-Ban Meta Advanced Smart Glasses easily connect to the iPhone. He went on to say that Apple allows its products to connect seamlessly to any Apple device, while leaving competitors in the dark about its connection protocol.
I mean the good news about the tech industry is it’s like it’s just super dynamic and things are constantly getting invented. I think companies, if you just don’t do a good job for like 10 years, eventually you’re just going to get beat by someone.
– Zuckerberg said. 💬 Do you agree with Mark or not? @iPhone #AppleInc #criticism

🔍 Traces of unknown 'Apple Invites' app found 📰 9to5Mac reports that traces of an unknown “Apple Invites” app have been found in the code of iOS 18.3 beta 2, which is designed to help organize meetings and personal events and also has iCloud integration 🤝 Inside this app, there's a GroupKit element that's been in the system since iOS 18.0 and hasn't been used anywhere before – it's designed to manage databases of groups of people, contacts and their data. 📆 Similar functionality already exists in Calendar app, but a new standalone app could have more advanced and convenient functionality, as happened with the Passwords app. @iPhone #iOS #apps

👂 Apple has never eavesdropped on its users or “sold” them out Apple has issued a statement saying it is protecting Siri user data. 🛡 Against the backdrop of Apple's concluded legal battle over the “Siri wiretapping” case, which began back in 2019 and ended in December last year with a settlement with compensation with no expression of grievance from the victims, the company has issued a statement. The statement, published on Apple's website, details exactly how Siri protects user data. 🔒 It says that “privacy is a foundational part of the design process, driven by principles that include data minimization, on-device intelligence, transparency and control, and strong security protections that work together to provide users with incredible experiences and peace of mind.” 🗺 The company also noted that this applies to all products and services, including Siri, which was designed to protect user privacy and is the most private digital assistant.
Apple has never used Siri data to build marketing profiles, never made it available for advertising, and never sold it to anyone for any purpose. We are constantly developing technologies to make Siri even more private, and will continue to do so.

💰 Apple’s $1 billion offer not enough to lift Indonesia’s ban Ban iPhone 16 in Indonesia persists, even after Apple's $1 billion investment offer and factory construction. 📰 According to Reuters, Indonesian Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita met with Apple's Vice President of Global Government Affairs Nick Ammann on January 7 to discuss Apple's investment proposal. 🏭 It is known that the planned factory in Indonesia will be designed for the assembly of AirTag and will begin operations next year. When discussing Apple's $1 billion investment in the local industry, Indonesia's industry minister couldn't get enough:
There is no basis for the ministry to issue a local content certification as a way for Apple to have the permission to sell iPhone 16 because (the facility) has no direct relations. The ministry would only count phone components.
– he said. 📱 Thus, Apple will not be allowed to sell the iPhone 16 (and newer models, apparently, too) in Indonesia until it realizes local production of iPhone components, as well as secures an industry investment of at least $115 million/year. These are the requirements of the local regulator, which Apple has been trying to fight since the end of 2024. @iPhone #AppleInc #finance #iPhone

🔔 An update to Apple Intelligence is expected "in the coming weeks" It will fix issues with inaccurate news headline summaries. ℹ️ Previously, there have been several reported cases of news headlines being misinterpreted due to Apple Intelligence's “Notification Summary” feature on the lock screen. In some cases, the essence of the news was so distorted that BBC reporters were unhappy about it and demanded that Apple fix the feature. 📰 Apple has already issued a statement saying:
Apple Intelligence features are in beta and we are continuously making improvements with the help of user feedback. A software update in the coming weeks will further clarify when the text being displayed is summarization provided by Apple Intelligence.
