Therefore, smooth surfaces such as glass don’t react well to adhesives because there aren’t any pores for molecules to enter. There are glues for glasses. Some glass glues are designed to work by chemically bonding with the glass surfaces, which typically involves the adhesive molecules reacting with the silicates in the glass to create a strong bond. Other glass glues work by physically interlocking with the glass surfaces, which typically involves the adhesive molecules forming small hooks or bonds that attach to the surface of the glass.
