The biggest talking point from yesterday’s budget is the removal of the two-child benefit cap. This has resulting in a situation where the press is reporting that families with six children will now be eligible for around £14,000 extra per year in benefits. Now firstly, I would be completely happy with such a policy if we were a homogenous White British country and we were attempting to promote policies that would raise the birth rate in order to ensure that White British couples had more children. I would also be in favour of this policy now, if it was restricted to indigenous families as a measure to reverse the demographic changes taking place – especially as White British births in England and Wales now make up just 51.2 per cent of all live births. However, this is not the case. This policy is essentially one of wealth distribution, that takes money from working White Britons – who often can’t afford children – and redistributes it to ethnic minority families. The average size of families classed as ‘White British’ is just 3.2. So, for the most part, this new policy will not benefit White British families. However, there are three ethnic groups where the average family size is above 6, these are Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian. It’s quite simple: Labour intends to raise taxes in order to give money to large families who are overwhelming of migrant descent. This wealth redistribution is just another way the government is helping to fund and speed the replacement of White Britons.
