A simple offering of libations to Thor and a bone fire tonight beneath the midsummer moon. Just my wife and I.
I am so busy this summer that I wasn’t able to organise a large blot like we normally do. I am soon to return to Europe to work on a documentary in Germany but used this brief Halcyon period in England to complete my documentary about British Bronze Age tin and daggers which I will upload tomorrow.

Wishing you all a glad Midsummer moon blot tonight.

This video should drop this week despite the fact I have been very ill since Friday. Worked over the weekend on it and am on course to publish before I fly to Europe again next week (Sweden and Germany)

There's a new shirt in the web shop.
It is based on a motif of Odin hugging his ravens seen on several Viking age pendants.

Exclusive BAP interview for Patrons
Bronze Age Pervert (BAP) joins me on JIVE TALK to discuss ancient history and how the heroic ideals of the past can shape our future. This is your chance to hear BAP’s unfiltered thoughts on the classical antiquity that inspires his philosophy, from the vitality of the Bronze Age to the inspiration of the Renaissance. We also talk about Plato and religion and in the second half we also discuss the misinterpretation in population geneticists of ancient cultures and elite dominance models of cultural replacement.

My new article for The Restorationist explains precisely what an Englishman is, and why the English are an ethnic group.

Anachronisms in service to historical revisionism and ethnic erasure.
“King and Conqueror is a CBS Studios co-production acquired by the BBC. Last year, CBS Studios executive Lindsey Martin said the scripts would give a 'bold and fresh take on a story that has endured for nearly 1,000 years'”
Sounds rubbish.

Placenames in England that have a direct connection to Wōden include Wednesbury and Wednesfield in Staffordshire, Woodnesborough and Wormhill in Kent, Wenslow and Wensley in Bedfordshire, and Wensley in Derbyshire. Grimspound also connects to Wōden through His epithet Grim - which in Old Norse is Grímr - meaning "hooded one."
Another example is Adam's Grave in Wiltshire, a Neolithic long barrow called Wōdnesbeorg during the Anglo-Saxon period. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle mentions two battles that occurred at Wōdnesbeorg in 592 AD and 715 AD:
592 AD: Her micel wælfill wæs æt Woddes beorge, Ceawlin wæs ut adrifen. "There was great slaughter at Woden's hill, and Ceawlin was driven out." 715 AD: Her Ine Ceolred fuhton æt Woddes beorge. "There Ine and Ceolred fought at Woden's hill."Wōden's Hill was important as a strategic military position during the Anglo-Saxon period because it lay between the Ridgeway and the medieval earthworks Wansdyke (Wōden's Dyke). These locations also show Wōden's active participation in the natural and man-made landscape and the events that occur on them. Neolithic monuments have a strong connection to Wōden, and Wōden's Hill serves as an example of the spiritual and religious dimension these monuments hold because they were constructed by our ancestors in the Neolithic period, linking us and our ancestors themselves into prehistory. Wōden's connection to prehistoric monuments and the natural landscape is a reminder of His ultimate dominion over creation and the extent of His creational power. Vǫluspá in the Poetic Edda is a strong reminder in the Old Norse literature on earth's creation by Óðinn and His potent ability to reshape titanic mythic forces:
"At the dawn of days, Did Ymir wake, Neither sand nor sea, Nor song of waves, Earth was not, Nor heavens high, A gaping void, Of grass still shy Then Bórr's sons (Óðinn, Villi, Vé) lifted the land, Miðgarðr they made; The sun from the south, Warmed the stones of earth, And green was the ground, With growing leeks."Wōden's Hill pictured above.

Ross Downing is back up to his tricks 4 years later!
Now he is feeding Times hack Matt Dathan some woke slop demonising folkish Heathens. Dathan describes Ross as a "leading academic on the study of extremist ideologies and the head of a new research team on pagan extremism" - Ross says "far-right radicals were embracing ancient mythology and preparing to fight and die for it."
"He compared their belief in the afterlife to the fundamentalist attacks carried out by Islamic jihadists. Far-right extremists “envy the fear that Islamic terrorists inspire” despite their belief that Muslims are a threat to European civilisation, he said.
Downing’s pagan extremism research team works with defence and security officials, helping to educate people about the rise of religiously coded far-right radicalisation.
The team said that Norse mythology is increasingly used to inspire violent actions or threats of terrorism from far-right extremists.
So he is a FED! glowie trying to equate Heathenry with terrorism.

Details of the pressblech foils used to decorate a 7th century sword scabbard found in a male burial at Gutenstein, Baden-Wurttemberg,, Germany. It depicts a were-wolf warrior of Wotan.
This is a copy held at the Landesmuseum in Stuttgart. The original was (like many other early medieval treasures) looted by the red army from Berlin in 1945 and is now held in the Pushkin Museum, Moscow.

Did you know Britain kickstarted the Bronze age?
The oldest evidence of tin ore mining in Europe is in Britain.
Around 2200 BC Britain's Beaker folk switched from using copper tools, to tin rich Bronze and the rest of Europe followed afterwards. Britain started Europe's Bronze Age.
tin-Bronze was in use earlier in Anatolia (3000 BC), and relied first on meagre local tin deposits but later on tin mines in Central Asia, but even in 2200 BC, half the metal objects in Anatolia were still just made of copper.
But later on, even West Asia switched to using British tin, and it became the main producer of tin ingots for all the Mediterranean.
You're welcome.
