The owners of Bengaluru-based Rameshwaram Cafe and one of their senior representatives have been booked on multiple charges, including selling noxious food, criminal conspiracy, and fabricating false evidence.
The FIR was registered on November 29 at the BIAL police station following a complaint by Nikhil N. He alleged that the cafe violated food safety norms and later tried to defame him by filing a false counter-complaint. Those named in the FIR include owner Raghavendra Rao, his wife Divya Raghavendra Rao and senior executive Sumanth Lakshminarayan.

As the placement season opened at leading IITs on Monday, over 20 companies were barred from taking part this year. These firms had withdrawn job offers made to students in the last academic year, some as late as June or July, right around the joining dates.
Officials said these sudden cancellations caused major stress for students. Many IITs do not allow students with confirmed offers to appear for further interviews. So when offers were revoked at the last minute, students were left with little time or opportunity to secure alternative roles.

Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the government’s Sanchar Sathi app is not mandatory for users. He added that users are free to remove it from their devices if they wish.
This comes amid govt's intensified efforts to stop the sale of fake mobile phones and make it easier for citizens to report any suspected misuse of telecom services.
As part of this push, the Ministry of Communications directed all mobile manufacturers to pre-install the Sanchar Saathi app on every device made or imported for use in India.

For Virat Kohli, the mental aspect of batsmanship visualising game situations, feeling intense and sharp at the same time holds more value than over-preparation which has never been his philosophy.
Returning to international action after a gap of a month, Kohli smashed his 52nd ODI and 83rd international century during the first match against South Africa, a classic 135 off 120 balls.
