🎧 AirPods 4: hidden button and new controls – what's different? 🆕 Apple has unveiled the updated AirPods 4, in which a hidden touch button has replaced the usual physical button for pairing. It is located on the front of the case, giving it a more elegant look. 🟢 Now, to connect your headphones, all you have to do is open the case and double tap the front of the case. There is a triple press or holding the button longer than usual to reset the settings, making the process even more intuitive. 🔋 The charging indicator is now less noticeable, as it only illuminates when the case is opened or during charging, hiding under a neat white plastic. These changes not only make it easier to interact with the device, but also make AirPods 4 more minimalistic, emphasizing Apple's commitment to excellence in every detail. 📦 What's more, the AirPods 4 box is the smallest in the history of the AirPods lineup. This is due to the elimination of the included cable, and the case with the headphones was placed inside the box more compactly. 💸 The versions of AirPods 4 with and without noise canceling, differ on the box by the drawing of the headphones, and also marked with the signature “Active Noise Cancellation”. 📰 Apple not investing in OpenAI after all 🍏 Apple was first reported to be discussing an OpenAI investment earlier this month. It was never clear, however, how much Apple might’ve invested in the company. 🗞 New Wall Street report says that Apple is no longer in talks to participate in an OpenAI funding round as OpenAI plans to close a $6.5 billion funding round next week, with investments possible from both Microsoft and Nvidia. 👨‍💻 The news of Apple’s decision to pass on investing in OpenAI comes amid more leadership and structural changes at the company. Former Apple design chief Jony Ive also recently confirmed that he is working with OpenAI to design an AI hardware product. 🤝 Apple and OpenAI are teaming up to integrate ChatGPT into iOS 18 later this year. Through this partnership, ChatGPT will handle world knowledge requests in combination with Siri. Bloomberg has reported that Apple is not paying OpenAI as part of this partnership, nor is OpenAI paying Apple. Apple has been actively caring about the health of its users for quite a long time. Most likely, the problem is software and is related to a very sensitive setting of the false-touch protection features. 📱 The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have the thinnest bezels of any iPhone model of all time, so Apple implemented such a feature so that taps on the edges of the display would not cause accidental presses. 📱 It turned out that when the protection is triggered, the screen can lose sensitivity for a fraction of a second across the entire surface, causing taps to stop being recognized. 📰 iPhone 17 and 'iPhone 17 Air' rumored to feature 120Hz ProMotion displays 👂 Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants informed that the standard iPhone 17 and a slimmer model that is called the "iPhone 17 Slim/Air" will both feature ProMotion, meaning that each device's display would be able to ramp up to a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and video content when necessary. 🤔 ProMotion would also allow the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air displays to ramp down to a more power-efficient refresh rate. iPhone 13 Pro models can ramp down to 10Hz, while iPhone 14 Pro through iPhone 16 Pro models can go as low as 1Hz, allowing for an always-on display that shows various Lock Screen elements even when the device is locked. It is unclear if the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air would ramp down to 10Hz or 1Hz. 😔 The standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus still have 60Hz displays. 👍 Young has a good track record with display-related information about future Apple products, including being the first source to reveal that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max would feature larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively. 📆 Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 series in September 2025. @iPhone #iPhone #rumors
