A bit of action in Tiny Verse. I don’t know if you’re still playing it or not, but I gave it a go today. Here’s the news: 🤯 On July 1, some kind of competition kicks off with the goal of splitting a 411k TON pool (~$1.28 million). It’s a chance to recoup at least part of your investment. All the funds are already in the smart contract address. I’ll break it all down in detail before the event starts, as there’s not enough info yet. 🤯 The game got an update, and they added the last missing feature: civilization battles. The devs said the “send your civ to attack, get a result” mechanic was too boring, so they decided to rework it. The update dropped, and the mechanic is exactly like that. They only added some kind of scanning before sending your civ into battle to check if it’s worth engaging with that civilization. However, this scanning is inexplicably expensive. And if you’ve got a clearly powerful civilization, there’s no point in scanning anyway. I’ve already sent 200 civilizations from foreign galaxies back home. It was an act of aggression as harsh as it was utterly baseless, just for the achievements. You just swoop in at breakneck speed, send the settled natives back to their galaxy, and zip out just as fast. It’d be weird if things were settled like that in real life. Tonight, the premarket for the gifts released on May 13 ends. The hold period for the following gifts will gradually start to expire: 🎁, 🎁, 🎁, 🎁, 🎁, 🎁 Keep in mind that the hold period is counted from the moment the gifts are upgraded, and the deadline for sending gifts to Tonnel for which deals have already been made is 21 days from the transaction date. However, it’s possible that things work glitchily on Tonnel, considering the hoops Mr. Freeman described for cases when you change your mind about selling a gift:

If you decide not to sell a gift and want to cancel the deal—just transfer the gift to a second account and send it from there to @giftrelayer or @tonnel_en. In this case, you’ll lose the deposit but keep the gift.

Looking at yesterday’s trading summary, I can’t figure out where Portals got over 500k in trades from. Is it just that popular, or is it a result of zero commissions and thus zero cost for inflating volumes? I pop in there from time to time—there’s nothing to trade with. Right now, Portals is trying to attract gifts to their platform, paying 0.1 TON per gift and 0.2 TON for a gift from Tonnel. I’m not entirely sure how they can tell if a gift is from Tonnel or not, but apparently, they’ve got some way of doing it. This is all cool, but they need new features—something other platforms don’t have. Honestly, they don’t even need to pull ideas out of thin air; there’s still so much that’s either not implemented or works poorly. Start actually doing something, or they’ll keep having to pay for this sluggish imitation of trading. Not a single one sold. Everyone’s still snatching up the primary market. Good luck selling those nipples, I guess. I would’ve bought if I’d been at my computer. Now I’ll just watch my FOMO unfold. I slept well today, I’d even say perfectly. Meanwhile, they released new gifts, and what’s more, they’ve already sold out completely. Some profiles snatched up 10,000 gifts. I already wrote about the sword situation, where a gift bought for 1 TON and upgraded to a floor sword sells for 3 TON, while rare models can fetch way more multiples. But all good things come to an end, and I have a feeling this won’t work with the ice cream. I have no clue who’s going to buy up all this supply. Are we nearing the point where everything gets swept up in one night on the primary market, but no one wants to buy on the secondary? I’m watching the market, and buyers are barely visible. Those same swords are now selling at 1-3 units a day, naturally the cheapest ones. The most expensive sword I managed to sell was 10 TON. Selling an expensive gift feels like winning the lottery—it’s insanely hard. Influencers hype up purchases of gifts at crazy prices, but it’s often just an illusion, and real sales like that are extremely rare. Only random streamers sometimes grab stuff without caring about the price. Sailor Moons are being bought when they pop up for 500-700 TON, but no one wants to pay more than that yet. Still, there won’t be issues with them—they’ll gradually get picked up for collections. The supply is small, just enough for the actual number of collectors. There’s a bit of a tilt vibe; the market is inflated but actually very weak. And the release of new gifts weakens it even more. There are about 30 unupgraded gifts still in the queue. What do you think—will we drown in them once the upgrades drop? Here’s another sobering observation. When the flower-skull came out, I jokingly gifted one to a friend who uses Telegram purely as a messenger (weird guy, lol), works at a factory, and doesn’t chase stars or Fragment. I recently remembered that gift and checked his profile. Sure enough, it’s just sitting there, unupgraded. No desire or stars to upgrade it. I gave him some stars, we upgraded the gift, and I told him to sell it. He said he’d just transfer it to me once the hold period ends so I could deal with selling it myself. Let’s see how the freshly minted Sailor Moons start selling. We already had Pepe, which showed impressive growth, and now there are plenty of smart folks who bought it cheap compared to current prices. But this is a different situation. The new rarest gift is initially being sold at a very high price. I don’t think it’s appealing to resellers; it needs end buyers who’ll grab this gift for prestige, not profit. I have a feeling there aren’t many of those people. Regarding the designs, many are raving about them—no recolors, all models are unique. Among the gems, obviously, there’s the heart with four ninja Pepes. But overall, many models aren’t that interesting. Some designs echo other heart-themed gifts. It’ll be curious when they roll out upgrades for the heart with the key. I bet many of them will be cheap Chinese knockoffs of Sailor Moon. As for the final price, I still think that plush Pepe, no matter how tacky, should sell for more than this… What even is this, by the way? Some kind of box? Or maybe an amulet from the cartoon? I haven’t watched the anime, so it’s a mystery to me what this expensive thing on the premarket is. We were chatting with the guys today about the gift market. You know what feature is missing in this pile of new marketplaces? There’s no way to sell entire collections. Tonnel has a workaround where you can create a bundle for 8 gifts. A pretty short workaround, to be honest. Telegram has created all the conditions for building collections, but you can’t do anything with them yet. How do you sell a collection of 100-500 gifts? You just can’t. Ideally, it should be set up so you don’t have to transfer gifts anywhere before selling. For example, you could just link your profile to the marketplace, check off the gifts you want from your profile, and form a collection for sale. It’d also be nice to add an option to include a description for the collection. Sometimes the concept behind a collection isn’t obvious at first glance. For instance, a lot of people don’t get that all my gifts have hearts, and they try to push random trash like Electric Purple on me. It would be great to also calculate the rarity of a collection. Take into account the presence of particularly rare items and highlight them somehow. Also, display complete collections of a specific gift and consider whether it’s possible or impossible to create similar sets. A collection, even an inexpensive one, but with a concept, looks way more interesting than a mindless hoard of black-background items. Wow, Elon Musk sure gave our Pavel Durov a sharp poke in the nose. They rushed to drop that announcement. Honestly, it’s not a big deal—Pavel just ended up in an awkward spot, no biggie. When AI hits Telegram, he’ll be back in a slick position. After all, there’s an agreement in place, and that’s already significant. Lots of cool features were announced: generating post summaries (for those who don’t like reading my long posts), creating avatars. It’s also funny that they mentioned sticker generation in the announcement. Remember those crummy stickers we bought for a ton of money? Already outdated? Well, at least they haven’t started generating gifts (yet). TON took a slight dip from its local highs after Musk’s statement. I must’ve missed all that back then, probably busy tapping away as a hamster. But speaking about the creator of Tonnel, I can only guess he’s not the most pleasant person. You can sense it from the way the channel is run, and there were issues with users getting blocked for reasons that seemed poorly justified. Let’s just say it felt like the owner could ban anyone out of personal dislike. But let’s leave it at that. I don’t like discussing other people’s personalities, especially based on hearsay or events I didn’t witness myself. I don’t know Freeman personally; we’ve only exchanged a couple of work-related messages. And I’m not promoting him—there’s no advertising on my channel at all. I just talk about the tools I use myself. Tonnel is a great product, and competitors haven’t managed to create anything comparable yet. This morning, I couldn’t figure out how to play Cattea, burned through all my blue cards, and still passed on the first try. Sometimes you just get lucky. We already went over this deck on May 9, and I posted the walkthrough on the combo channel. As for the recent update, I’m not sure what to say. Levels now upgrade with coins we earn in the game. The max level is 1500. To fully max out, you’d need to spend around 6 billion coins. Regarding the Bitcoin price game—I think it’s too early to rush into converting everything earned into those cat-tea Bitcoins. Let’s wait for some clarity.
