Rose update: Recently, Rose has had some issues deleting old welcome messages. This was caused by a version of telegram's rate limiting that I had not heard of before. I've discussed with telegram to understand how to avoid these, and have altered some features to hopefully avoid them. So, from now on, chats with /cleanwelcome enabled will see Rose delete the welcome message after two situations: - When a new user joins the chat. - If no new user joins the chat, after 5 minutes. (New behaviour) This should allow Rose to avoid the telegram limits that she's been hitting, and keep her growing well. The 5 minute limit cannot be changed; it's required to avoid rate limiting. Let us know in the support chat if you have any questions on this change, and how it will impact you. Thank you for understanding! Also: - Small bugfixes. - Updated languages. - Added Uzbek 🇺🇿. Rose update! - Added the /cleanlinked command. This allows you to enable deletion of messages sent by the linked channel (also known as the "discuss" feature for channels); no more spam from your channel posts appearing in your chat! - Added /purgefrom and /purgeto commands. Sometimes, you need to delete a lot of messages quickly, and counting from message A to message B is... Annoying. With purgefrom and purgeto, you simply reply to the message to start deleting from (with /purgefrom), and then reply to the one to delete to (with /purgeto), and Rose will delete everything in between the two messages. Easy! - Minor optimisations, bugfixes, and improved error handling. - Added Kurdish language, and updated all translations. Big thank you to all those who have been working hard to translate!

Big Rose update! - Added federation transfers. To transfer your fed to another user, use the /fedtransfer command. Rose will do various checks on both the sender and the receiver's side, to avoid mistakes, and then transfer the fed once both sides have confirmed. Note that users are still limited to one federation per user. - Renamed all whitelist and blacklist references to allowlist and blocklist, respectively. - Added three new lock types; forwardchannel, forwarduser, and forwardbot. These will allow you to have more control over which messages you want to stop. - The {rules} filling can now be used in all types of data (filters, notes, etc), not just welcomes. Also added the {rules:same} filling, for those that would like to put the rules button on the same line as a previous button. - Added the ability to customise the name of the button generated by {rules}. Have a look at the /setrulesbutton command in the /help to do this. - Various bugfixes and enhancements. - Updated translations. Tamil has returned to Rose! Big thank you to all who contributed. Website Update: 2020 may be a crappy year, but one thing that's not crappy is Miss Rose's fresh new look! We've updated our website with a more up-to-date look and feel, as well as laid the groundwork for future additions such as the possibility of custom instances. The user guide/documentation has also received a face lift! We've changed things around to be a bit more intuitive and easier for new users to find what they need. Please note - The content of the guide has NOT been updated at this time, so unfortunately the information is still outdated. Over the next 2 months, we'll be restructuring it to allow us to keep it up to date more easily, and updating it with all the latest and greatest Rose features and changes. Finally, we will be adding a long overdue search feature to the user guide, so you can quickly and easily find the topics you need help with! Rose update: - Small bugfixes and improvements - Updated languages. As mentioned in the previous post, I'm removing languages which aren't sufficiently been updated. A BIG thank you to those who took their time updating translations for their languages! You've managed to save arabic, chinese, and french. The only languages which are still lagging behind are albanian, hindi, and tamil - these have now been removed from Rose. If you use these languages and would like to see them return, please translate them on crowdin.

Rose update: - The /approve and /unapprove commands can now take an optional "reason" argument. These can be used to remember why you approved a user to not be affected by blacklists or locks. You can check that reason with the /approval command. It will also be reported in the log channel. - The /purge and /del commands now also support optional "reason" arguments. This will be reported in the logchannel, and in the case of purges, in the confirmation message. - Minor bugfixes. - Updated translations. Note: I am still waiting on khmer, arabic, chinese, french, hindi, and tamil to update their translations. If they are not updated by the next Rose update, they will be removed. So if you would like Rose to keep speaking your language, please head to crowdin to update it.

Today marks a big day - Rose has reached 30M users. With 8M monthly active users, shes growing faster than I'd ever expected - thank you all for your support! Rose update: - New CAPTCHA type! Rose now supports a math CAPTCHA. Similar to text CAPTCHAs, but instead of Rose sending a picture with random letters, she shows a simple math question. This new challenge should make it a lot harder for any bots to solve the CAPTCHA. - Fed owners can no longer fpromote an fbanned user. - Some small bugfixes. - Updated translations.

Minor Rose update: - Performance and caching enhancements. - Edited the "you cant use this button" string when using button CAPTCHAs to "You've already solved this CAPTCHA!" to be more relevant and less confusing. - Updated translations. Thanks to everyone who contributed :) The following languages are on my list of shame and risk being removed soon, due to being out of date: khmer, arabic, chinese, french, hindi, farsi, and tamil. Please update them if you want them to remain!

Rose update: Introducing CAPTCHAs! A lot of people have been reporting that the current "welcome mute" feature isn't enough to protect their chats, and that they would like something more. Hopefully, this is the "something more" they're asking for! Rose now supports CAPTCHAs, just like the ones you might see online. You can upgrade to a text captcha by running /captchamode text in your group. To fit these changes, I've also renamed all the welcomemute features and commands to "captcha"; it makes more sense to keep the common theme - check the help for more details. Other changes: - bugfixes - updated translations. es-CO and es-UY have also been removed from translations, since they hadnt been updated in a while. Please keep your languages up to date to avoid them being removed. On that note, enjoy!

This has been re-enabled! Should work as expected again.

Minor Rose update: /mute 1h and /smute 1h now tmutes a user, same as /tmute 1h would. This is because I've noticed a lot of people mistakenly writing /mute 1h when they want to tmute - this should fix that. Edit: found a small bug so reverted this - will re-enable later

Rose update: Introducing a new feature: Welcome kicks! Enable welcome kicks to kick any users that haven't unmuted themselves using the welcome mute button. You can even change the time before they get kicked to fit your group needs! By default, this is disabled - check the help on greetings for information about how to enable, and how to set the desired time. Note: welcome kicks will not apply to users that joined before this update. Also: - Minor bugfixes - Updated translations

In other, more uplifting news.... Rose update! Today's update adds "approval" functionality. Chat members can now be marked as "approved" by chat admins. Approved users will no longer be affected by locks, blacklists, antiflood, and fbans in that chat. This can help you mark certain members as "trusted", and allow them to post pictures, links, etc in your chat that you might not want regular, untrusted users to be posting. (Basically... This is a user whitelist!) Check the /help on approvals for more info! And as usual: - Bugfixes. - Updated translations. As a side note: some of Rose's languages are lagging behind. If you're interested in keeping your language in Rose, keep it up to date on crowdin! Cool, telegram seems to have fixed itself. And of course, Rose has been back for a while now too - so nothing to worry about there.

OUTAGE: Hi everyone, Telegram's DC4 is currently offline. This is affecting several users, and unfortunately, also Rose since she uses DC4. Because this is a Telegram problem itself, nothing on our end can fix the issue, but it should be resolved once Telegram's DC4 comes back on line. Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Minor Rose update: Since telegram have updated their bot API to allow detecting inline bots, I've added it as a locktype. Use /lock inline to stop users from using any kind of inline bot!
