Why Demerger / Spinoff gives BIG PROFIT Opportunities in stock market?
Sometimes big companies split into smaller companies. This is called:
[1] Demerger – One part of the business becomes a new company.
[2] Spinoff – Parent company gives shares of the new company to old shareholders.
After this, both companies are listed separately in stock market.
But why is this a big opportunity?
[1] The new company is usually a fast-growing or high-margin business.
[2] Many people don’t know its real value yet — so it's undervalued.

This is a classic example of Ascending Triangle – a bullish chart pattern, I came across.
🔴 Red Line = Resistance
🟡 Yellow Line = Ascending Support
Here’s how to read it:
[1] If the price breaks above the resistance with strong volume
— Big investors (smart money) are likely buying aggressively.
— This signals strong bullish momentum and higher chances of price rallying further.
[2] If the price breaks below the ascending support
— It indicates weakness.
— Price could correct or fall further as the bullish structure fails.

Many investors prefer to buy the rumour and sell the news.
Markets — and certain sectors — react immediately to news and rumours.
One of the best examples is the Defence Sector.
Because of India-Pak conflict, there were rumours about:
* Increased defense budgets,
* Higher demand for military equipment,
* Additional spending for national security.
Defense stocks reacted quickly to these rumours and witnessed a massive rally 🚀.
Once they were sitting on decent gains, many investors preferred to book profits even before the rumours materialized into official news.
Here’s what typically happens:
If the rumour doesn't turn into real news:
→ Investors who booked early still made their profits.
If the rumour turns out to be true:
→ The news is already priced in. With Limited upside remains.
→ But again, investors who booked early have already locked in their profits.

[1] Competitive pressure and high valuations mean FMCG stocks don’t have much room to rise currently.
[2] For real upside, spending at the grassroots level must increase first.
How to track it early?
Watch small banks and microfinance companies' loan book growth
— they lend mainly to rural and semi-urban India.
— If their loan books start growing, it signals spending is picking up → demand is recovering.
This way you can spot the recovery before FMCG companies announce strong results.
Because after the results are announced, the stocks may already be expensive!
