In Sweden, most viking era runestones have Christian crosses like on the right, but a rare few such as Södermanlands 111 near Eskilstuna (see left) are blatantly pagan with a mjölnir (hammer of Thor)

Swimming in a clean forest lake, perch nibbling toes 🐟, picking chanterelles 🍄‍🟫 , bilberries 🫐 and wild strawberries 🍓 , listening to the cranes call. 🇸🇪 Ticked off every Swedish summer stereotype in a single afternoon except i didn’t see an elk. (Yes i had korv for lunch 🌭)

There's a new shirt in the web shop. It is based on a motif of Odin hugging his ravens seen on several Viking age pendants. https://survivethejive-shop.fourthwall.com/products/odin-and-his-ravens

In the Styrbjarnar þáttr Svíakappa, Eiríkr inn sigrsæli says “Óðinn á yðr alla”, Odin owns you all, before he sacrifices his enemies to Odin. In the Gautreks saga, Starkaðr says “Nú gef ek þik Óðni”; now I give you to Odin. Things to keep in mind for blóts of our own. ᚬ

I didn't say this properly in the film, but while Cornish tin became the main source across Europe, spreading out after 2200 BC, and finally reaching west Asia (around 1400 BC), but people in Anatolia and the East Med had already been using bronze-tin widely for centuries before this and had been sourcing tin from the Andronovo culture (aka the Aryans). The Andronovo Culture mainly used copper from the Tian Shan Mountain and sourced tin from sites such as Mushiston. Their neighbours of BMAC had some mining too but ended up relying on Andronovo for metal. The Beaker folk in Cornwall were actually close relatives of the Andronovo Aryans in Tajikstan some 5000 km away. Both are closely related to modern Northern Europeans and both played a crucial role in the Bronzisation of the ancient civilisations of the East Med. Cornwall and Devon have much richer tin deposits so they naturally replaced those in Central Asia as the main source in the Med. Fascinating that such distant cultures shared a common Corded Ware origin and both ended up playing such an important historic role.
