A MURDER investigation has been launched after a fifteen-year-old was stabbed in London. At around 1pm on December 9, officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Westbourne Road, Islington. A 15-year-old boy was treated for a stab wound before being rushed to hospital. Tragically, despite the efforts of medical staff, he died later that afternoon. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Calls for the return of face masks caused a political row today after an NHS leader said Britons experiencing flu or cold symptoms should wear one in public places. Daniel Elkeles, chief executive of NHS Providers, which represents trusts, said it was vital for workers to 'stop the chances of you giving your virus to somebody else'. Much of the £10.9bn in taxpayer money lost to fraud and error in Covid support schemes is now "beyond recovery", a report has said. The response to the pandemic had led to "enormous outlays of public money which exposed it to the risk of fraud and error" with many organisations unprepared, the Covid Counter Fraud Commissioner, Tom Hayhoe, said. A neo-Nazi drug baron who glorified Adolf Hitler on his anti-semitic social media account has been jailed for two years. Joseph Beaver - who was found to have links to far right training group Active Club Scotland - was found with a gun in his garden shed in Dundee. He was jailed at the city's sheriff court after praising white supremacists who carried out mass killings in the USA and setting up a large-scale cannabis farm. Sheriff Derek Hamilton told Beaver: "These are clearly serious matters.

Paedophile Paul Jones, 62, pretended to bond with a teenage school boy over a shared love of machines and Formula One - all the while forming "an unhealthy sexual interest" in him. He then sexually assaulted him. Judge Andrew Menary didn't think this deserved any prison time.

Two men have been charged in connection with an incident at London's Heathrow Airport which left 21 people requiring treatment. Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have each been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance after the incident at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday, HM Courts and Tribunal Service staff said. Police could use street cameras to read our emotions, identifying criminals by their eyes, voice or even the way they walk. Ministers launched a consultation yesterday on emerging technology that analyses 'motions and emotions' and could help catch criminals, prevent suicides and find missing people. Under the draconian plans, which critics fear could usher in a 'surveillance state in everything but name', the Home Office is consulting on the use of technology which 'analyses the body and its movements to infer information about the person, such as their emotions or actions'.

An Afghan national has been charged with raping two 14-year-old girls in a flat in Bolton. Sultani Bakatash, 28, was arrested in the early hours of Sunday following a report of rape in the Middle Hulton area of the town. He has been remanded into custody and was due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court at 9.45am on Tuesday.
