1. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed India’s first hypersonic missile, ‘Dhwani’, which is expected to undergo flight testing by the end of 2025.
➨ With this advancement, India will join the elite group of nations — the United States, Russia, and China — that possess hypersonic weapon capabilities.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana along with the Mission for Self-Reliance in Pulses in New Delhi, targeting 100 districts with low agricultural productivity.
➨ The initiative aims to boost farmers’ income through improved irrigation, modern storage facilities, and sustainable farming practices.
3. Justice Soumen Sen took oath as the 14th Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court in a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan, where Governor CH Vijayashankar administered the oath of office.

5. Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the Deendayal Port in Gujarat, V.O. Chidambaranar Port in Tamil Nadu, and Paradip Port in Odisha have been designated as Green Hydrogen Hubs, marking a key step in India’s shift toward sustainable and clean energy development.

6. China has inaugurated the world’s first dual-tower solar thermal power plant in the Gobi Desert, featuring around 27,000 mirrors positioned nearly one kilometer apart, marking a major advancement in renewable energy technology and solar power efficiency.
7. In a landmark reform, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has simplified and liberalised its withdrawal norms, enabling more than 7 crore subscribers to withdraw up to 100% of their eligible provident fund (PF) balance.
➨ The new guidelines have been approved by the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) to enhance flexibility and financial access for employees.
8. AIIMS New Delhi achieved a medical milestone by performing India’s first robotic kidney transplant, marking a breakthrough in robotic-assisted surgery in a government hospital.
9. The Sugamya Bharat App, a key initiative under the Accessible India Campaign, has been revamped to improve user experience and effectiveness.
➨The app aims to empower persons with disabilities (PwDs) and senior citizens by allowing them to report accessibility challenges and access essential information on government schemes, services, and resources.
10. Jasprit Bumrah played his 50th Test match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi against the West Indies, becoming the first Indian fast bowler to play 50 or more matches in all three formats of international cricket.
11. The Government of India released the draft National Labour and Employment Policy, titled ‘Shram Shakti Policy 2025’, proposing a universal social security account for every worker and aiming to build a future-ready labour system.
12. The 2025 APEC Summit is set to take place in Gyeongju, South Korea, with the theme “Building a Sustainable Future.” Established in 1989, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum works to promote free trade, economic integration, and regional cooperation among its 21 member economies.
