As a reminder, Rose database maintenance will begin in ONE hour, at 7PM UTC. We expect this to last between 30 minutes to one hour. She will be unavailable during this time. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I plan to undergo some essential database maintenance on Rose at 7PM UTC tomorrow (Tuesday 8th June). I expect this to take about one hour, during which will Rose will be unavailable. This maintenance will help reduce database load, resolve some long standing bugs, and allow me to future-proof Rose for upcoming updates. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the support chat. I will post here again when maintenance begins.

Bugfix update: - Fixed an issue where approvals didnt allow fbanned users to join - Fixed an issue where adding an fbanned user would silently ban them instead of saying theyre fbanned - Fixed an issue where Rose replied to a button instead of editing it Also, updated languages. Enjoy!

Small Rose update: - When a user joins via an invitelink, the name of the invitelink owner is now shown in the log channel. - Add checks to ensure Rose is admin for both /welcome and /setwelcome. - Fixed a small bug where a user joining a chat where they are fbanned would be incorrectly be reported as being subfedbanned instead of fedbanned. - Bugfixes and improvements.

Looks like the majority of welcome issues we were having have now been fixed - big thank you to the Telegram team. Please be sure to promote Rose to admin to keep welcome messages working; this is now required by Telegram. Rose update: Telegram recently changed how service messages are sent to chats. This caused Rose to stop welcoming users in large chats. Rose has now been updated to handle those changes - please let us know if you are still having issues with this. Please make sure to make Rose admin too, or she wont be able to welcome users. Also: - Updated the size of CAPTCHA images to reduce cropping (+ added a message to remind people to open them if cropped) - Bugfixes and improvements - Updated translations Enjoy! Edit: Some chats may still be experiencing issues with welcomes. This is due to a problem on telegrams side. They have been notified, and are working on a fix.

Reminder: Rose is closed source, and anyone trying to sell you "a copy of the code" is scamming you. The code has not been leaked; just because someone has written a bot in golang does not mean its Rose. Stay safe, and remember not to trust strangers on the internet :)

Today, Rose has reached 100M users, across 1.4M chats. Honestly, I'm at a loss for words - I would never have dreamed of reaching this kind of size. Thank you to everyone who uses rose, has suggested new features, or reported any bugs they've found - you are a part of Rose's growth! And of course, a giant thank you to everyone that has donated over the years, allowing us to keep Rose up and running. And perhaps more importantly - free to use! 🎉

Rose update: - Channels can now join federations! Simply do as you usually would and /joinfed <fedid> to join a channel to a federation. - The /unpin command now says that a message was unpinned, to avoid confusion. - Lots of small improvements and fixes to improve stability in the long term. - Updated languages. Rose update: One of the more common questions we get in the support chat, is how to deal with fake federation bans. These have been an issue for a while, with people making fake federations to make legitimate users look bad. When people discover these fake fbans, they often ask us to "remove the ban", or "delete the fed". We don't believe that this is acceptable; we don't want to interfere with other people's federations. However, we also don't like the negative impact that all these "revenge fbans" have on telegram. So, after thinking long and hard, we've come up with a solution to avoid this. From now on, the /fstat command will only show bans from federations which have actually had an impact on the user, and caused that user to lose access to a chat they've been in. We believe that this will allow the /fstat command to remain useful and only show real bans, with none of the fakes that trolls have been creating. Enjoy! Other updates: - Filters on emoji now also reply to sticker emoji - Simplified usage of the /blocklist command to match the usage of /allowlist. - Added the /rmallowlistall command, which clears all allowlisted items from a chat. - When pinning loudly, Rose will explicitly mention that members were notified. Rose update: Telegram has released a new update which makes it easier for bots to keep track of admin statuses. Rose now makes use of these new features, which should mean that the /admincache command doesn't need to be used anymore; Rose should now always know who is admin. 🎉 Also: - Backend improvements. - Updated languages. To make it easier to get channel IDs, the /id command can now be used to get channel IDs from forwarded messages.

Small note: Previous update introduced a small bug when saving blocklists with no custom reason. This has now been fixed - sorry for the trouble!

Rose update: - Added support for admin-only notes and filters. Rose will only reply when admins use these! To create an admin-only note, add the {admin} filling. For example: /save secret Shhh, only admins can open this note! {admin} - You can see which notes/filters are admin only when you use the /notes or /filters commands. - Improved the /blocklist command - you can now see what the custom blocklist actions are when checking the blocklisted words. - You can now blocklist forwards and invitelinks from specific groups or channels simply by blocklisting their id. This is helpful if you would like to stop forwards JUST from those groups, but dont mind others! But if youre looking for blocking all... then check out locks. - Other improvements and bugfixes. - Updated languages.
