Subject: Objection Regarding Restriction on Downloading Response Sheets and Tentative Answer Keys To, The Chairman, Staff Selection Commission (SSC), New Delhi. Respected Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the recently issued notice by the Commission, wherein it has been stated that candidates may only view their Response Sheets and Tentative Answer Keys, but will neither be permitted to download/take a printout nor access them after the specified time period. With due respect, this practice is highly unfair and raises the following issues: 1. Lack of Transparency: Candidates are entitled to a fair opportunity to verify their answers. Restricting downloads prevents aspirants from properly reviewing and seeking expert/legal advice regarding discrepancies. 2. Loss of Record: Once the portal closes, no candidate will have any evidence of their responses or the tentative answer key. This makes it impossible to challenge future disputes or errors, if identified later. 3. Deviation from Past Practice: In earlier years, SSC allowed candidates to download their response sheets and answer keys. Rolling back this facility undermines trust and fairness. 4. Natural Justice: Competitive examinations directly affect the career of lakhs of aspirants. Denying permanent access to their own answer records goes against principles of transparency, accountability, and natural justice. Therefore, I humbly request the Commission to: • Restore the facility of downloading Response Sheets and Tentative Answer Keys. • Ensure candidates have access to their records beyond the limited time period for transparency and future reference. Many aspirants face no issues at the exam centres. At the same time, several aspirants are experiencing re-scheduling or cancellations of their exams due to technical and other reasons cited by SSC. But what about those who are appearing under adverse conditions such as multiple times change in system. Mental state of aspirants at this stage? System change hone ke karan, last me aisa hota hai ki baaki logon ka exam complete ho jata hai vo vo fir shor karne lagte hai aise me jinka system bich me band hone ki vajah se exam abhi bhi chal raha hota hai vo sahi se attempt nahi kar paate. Is SSC doing anything for these aspirants. Shouldn’t re-exam be conducted for those aspirants also whose system showed error or changed more than once in the exam?
