The covid-19 public inquiry will begin with modules 1 & 2 accepting applications to be core participants until 16th August. The NHS100K will be applying to be a core participant for module 3 when available. We urge all organisations following the covid narrative since 2020 to please apply and have your voices be heard. For our members, please prepare by collecting as much evidence of workplace practices as you can. Baroness Hallett has asked me to respond on her behalf.  I apologise for the delay in doing so.   As you may be aware, on 12 May, following a public consultation on the draft Terms of Reference, Baroness Hallett sent her proposed amendments to the Prime Minister. A copy of the letter and consultation summary report can be found on our website. Following finalisation of the Terms of Reference, we expect the Prime Minister to formally set up the Inquiry.    I would like to thank you and the members of NHS100K for offering to provide statements to the Inquiry detailing experiences of working for the NHS during the pandemic. Section 5(2) of the Inquiries Act 2005 provides that an inquiry must not begin considering evidence before the setting-up date. However, once the Inquiry has been formally established, we will post information about how to get involved in its work on our website. In the meantime, we have passed your email on to our Solicitor’s team which is responsible for collecting evidence, for their information.
